WHY DO THEY HATE FREEDOM

But no seriously, this is a public institution. First Fucking Amendment

and how fucking scientific is banning criticism?

Not all criticism is created equal and should never be treated as such in a science classroom. In a science classroom, only valid, modern, and scientific-community-accepted science should be considered. Flat-earthers, for example, do not deserve any lip service in school outside of History and possibly Philosophy.

Also, regarding the first amendment, they're not disallowing students to ask questions. They're just disallowing the purchase of textbooks that pretend there's a scientifically valid opposition to anthropogenic climate change; I think it's perfectly reasonable for a school district to decide to only purchase materials (with tax payer money) that contain valid information.

Discussing flat earth theory is not bad, you may even be able to use it as a teachable moment, but screw that we'll just say you cant talk about it and leave it as that

anthropogenic climate change

I can't wait for children to ask why we had the ice age, the midevil warm period, and the possible thousands of warming/cooling cycles inbetween. Hell, in the 70s-80s they said we would be freezing to death.

Humans can screw up the world yes, but to say that a fraction of a percent of the earth's atmosphere is causing the cooling, error warming, shit it's not warming then uhhh climate change, while ignoring the role solar activity plays in temperature and also the greenhouse effect of water vapor has is incredibly stupid.

It's almost too convenient, that the way to stop this phantasmal "climate change" is for wealthy first world nations to dedevelop and return to the preindustrialized era where death and dispair were common and the likelyhood of contaminating water/air etc was much higher.

Nothing you say will convince me that the thing we exhale is causing the planet to warm, why? Because if the government can mandate a tax on CO2 emissions then sooner or later you'll be taxed to simply be allowed to breath. The excuse will be "we're not saying if you don't pay the tax we will kill you, we're saying if you don't pay the tax then you can breath anymore"

Think that is absurd? Look at Switzerland, I believe, where they're thinking of putting higher taxes on beef to encourage less meat consumption because cows pollute too much

Yet you have no problem spending our hard earned tax dollars on gw cult propaganda bullshit.

If this is "settled science" where is the incontrovertible proof ?

There is none, it does not exist, the fact is all the 'climate change' so called science is nothing but a religious cult built around a theory based on bought and payed for manipulated data produced by an organization with a political and ideological agenda.

"The common enemy of humanity is man. In searching for a new enemy to unite us, we came up with the idea that pollution, the threat of global warming, water shortages, famine and the like would fit the bill. All these dangers are caused by human intervention, and it is only through changed attitudes and behavior that they can be overcome. The real enemy then, is humanity itself." - Club of Rome, premier environmental think-tank, consultants to the United Nations

"We need to get some broad based support, to capture the public's imagination... So we have to offer up scary scenarios, make simplified, dramatic statements and make little mention of any doubts... Each of us has to decide what the right balance is between being effective and being honest." - Prof. Stephen Schneider, Stanford Professor of Climatology, lead author of many IPCC reports

"We've got to ride this global warming issue. Even if the theory of global warming is wrong, we will be doing the right thing in terms of economic and environmental policy." - Timothy Wirth, President of the UN Foundation

"The concept of national sovereignty has been immutable, indeed a sacred principle of international relations. It is a principle which will yield only slowly and reluctantly to the new imperatives of global environmental cooperation." - UN Commission on Global Governance report

"In my view, after fifty years of service in the United Nations system, I perceive the utmost urgency and absolute necessity for proper Earth government. There is no shadow of a doubt that the present political and economic systems are no longer appropriate and will lead to the end of life evolution on this planet. We must therefore absolutely and urgently look for new ways." - Dr Robert Muller, UN Assistant Secretary General,

"Regionalism must precede globalism. We foresee a seamless system of governance from local communities, individual states, regional unions and up through to the United Nations itself." - UN Commission on Global Governance

"Isn't the only hope for the planet that the industrialized civilizations collapse? Isn't it our responsibility to bring that about?" - Maurice Strong, founder of the UN Environment Programme

A massive campaign must be launched to de-develop the United States. De-development means bringing our economic system into line with the realities of ecology and the world resource situation." - Paul Ehrlich, Professor of Population Studies

"One America burdens the earth much more than twenty Bangladeshes. This is a terrible thing to say. In order to stabilize world population,we must eliminate 350,000 people per day. It is a horrible thing to say, but it's just as bad not to say it." - Jacques Cousteau, UNESCO Courier

“The data doesn't matter. We're not basing our recommendations on the data. We're basing them on the climate models.” - Prof. Chris Folland, Hadley Centre for Climate Prediction and Research

“The models are convenient fictions that provide something very useful.” - Dr David Frame, climate modeler, Oxford University

"The only way to get our society to truly change is to frighten people with the possibility of a catastrophe." - emeritus professor Daniel Botkin

"Today American's would be outraged if U.N. troops entered Los Angeles to restore order; tomorrow they will be grateful. This is especially true if they were told there was an outside threat from beyond, whether real or promulgated, that threatened our very existence. It is then that all peoples of the world will plead with world leaders to deliver them from this evil. The one thing every man fears is the unknown. When presented with this scenario, individual rights will be willingly relinquished for the guarantee of their well being granted to them by their world government." Henry Kissinger in an address to the Bilderberg Organization meeting at Evian, France, May 21, 1992

"It doesn't matter what is true, it only matters what people believe is true." - Paul Watson, co-founder of Greenpeace

Thank you for helping to expose the true agenda behind global warming.

If you have to systematically deny information from people to prove your theory, like a bunch of communist propaganda ministers, warping people's perceptions... Then your theory must have huge holes in it. If information is truly worthless, then nobody would have to hide it. But hey, don't let that stop you... Maybe you can go help them out, and have a little bonfire. You can probably find a lot of other books you don't agree with, and burn those while your at it.

And he instantly down-votes me of course. Ha! Classic. Would probably delete opposing posts altogether if he could.

When something is scientifically proven what is the point in showing wrong science. It is the same as the creationist debate. Creationism have been conclusively proven to be false. Anyone who espouses it is lying to themselves and anyone they try to dupe. Should it be put in a science classroom as a valid theory. No because that isn't where it belongs.

[–]xray606 [スコア非表示]  (1子コメント)

Except for the fact that it's not "wrong" science. It's just science. Why is it "wrong"? What, just because you say it is? You know how many times Scientists in past history 99% all claimed something was wrong, and then it turned out to be right? In the 70's, Scientists said the next ice age was coming. If you disagreed, you were wrong. But oh, wait, let me guess... This time it's different, right? There's countless studies that have opposing views on the subject. People like you continuously saying something is wrong, doesn't automatically make it wrong. Your level of arrogance doesn't make you right. It's not your job to control what people think. People have a right to choose for themselves. If it's wrong, then it's wrong. What are you afraid of? Are you afraid some of it might actually be right?

When something is scientifically proven

WHERE ?

Where is this incontrovertible proof you alarmist cult zealots are always claiming exists ??????

I keep asking for it yet not once has any of you ever produced it, it obviously only exists in your imaginations !

[–]rambaroo [スコア非表示]  (2子コメント)

97 % of papers produced agree with it. That is how science works you conduct studies and have others check the results. When 97% are all coming up with supportive results it's done.

[–]propshaftRadical Redneck [スコア非表示]  (1子コメント)

97 % of papers produced agree with it.

Bullshit.

Everything and anything global warming / climate change related is funneled through the ipcc and only articles or data they deem kosher and 'cause' friendly are given their seal of approval.

Wake up and quit drinking the kool aide, do the research and open your eyes to the truth, the whole gw/cc myth and its associated quasi science are created by leftist elitist with a world controlling ideological agenda.

Any idiot with a smidgen of common sense knows the left controls the so called 'institutions of higher learning', anyone who does not toe their line and follow their ideology is terminated and silenced.

Nasa is a government controlled organisation controlled by elitist trained in these leftist brainwashing centers and ran by leftist politicians who hold the puppet strings as to what it does and says.

If you were half as informed as you claim to be you would know that nasa is currently operating on a directive from the oval office to improve relations with islam.

That alone speaks volumes.
