When Mohammad first had his "revelations" I believe he questioned whether or not he was possessed by an angel... or by a demon. Now I dunno bout you guys, but I've never heard of angel possession before.

I'm gonna go with no, he's not a prophet, just a murderous lunatic who spread the faith of himself far and wide by killing anyone who disagreed with the presumption that he was a prophet. And hey, effective tactic.

Actually I hadn't thought of that. Supernatural was a fantastic show btw. Totally recommend the first 5 seasons for anyone on this subreddit. The central themes were faith in family and the personal responsibility of humans for making a better world. Extremely conservative show, as mainstream tv shows go.

They're just hedging their bets. If an Islamic caliphate is established, they might not be the first ones to have their heads cut off. Instead, the women will be enslaved and raped and the men will be conscripted into the military wing to serve as cannon fodder. For the liberal, this is preferable.

This HP author is an idiot. Lets say for a second that you were able to convinced all Christians that was a prophet and not a false prophet (good luck with that). Would that actually stop Christian-Muslim violence? No. Muslims fight each other over different types of Islam, why would a Christian who says "nah, it's cool, I like Muhammad" be okay to radicals?

This isn't just a stupid idea. It's a stupid idea that would never work.

On a more serious note the huffsomepaint post is not usually a place I get my news from because it's mostly blogs now. It sounds a lot like forbes now. And not even the good kind of content.

The Bible is complete and has everything in it needed to guide people through life. Just telling me that I need to accept parts of a bastardized agglomerated ideology that did not arrive until centuries after these words were written contravenes what I believe - never mind the ideas and concepts that are is contained within the pages of the Koran and other writings of Islam.
