Pricing and Operations

    • After extensive review and analysis, MGM Resorts is launching a $90 million parking strategy to expand and enhance parking infrastructure and the parking experience. This strategy will address the long-term increase in visitation to Las Vegas along with changing consumer tastes and demands.
    • We are building a new $54 million parking facility near the northwest corner of Excalibur to absorb further growth and to enhance the experience for attendees of events at the T-Mobile Arena and other nearby resorts and entertainment venues.
    • We are investing an additional $36 million in upgrades and enhancements to our existing parking facilities. Our current parking experience currently lacks the improvements available through technology, including space availability and way-finding.

    • Paid parking will launch in June 2016.

    • Similar to many other modern parking facilities, guests will receive a ticket on entry and will pay prior to returning to their cars.
    • Parking enhancements being made as part of the overall program will enable guests to quickly find an available spot by following new dynamic signs and LED guidance lights. Pay On-Foot stations will allow guests to pay before returning to their vehicles and exit seamlessly.

    • In Self-Park facilities, the first hour will be complimentary. This will accommodate brief errands, appointments, deliveries, and pick-ups, without having to pay.
    • Following the free first hour, guests will pay one rate for parking for 1-4 hours. 4+ hours will be charged the full daily rate.

    • Yes. There will be a separate fee for both self and valet parking. Valet fee will be slightly higher than the fee for Self-Parking.

    • If you are a non-hotel guest, you should stop at a Self-Service Valet kiosk or valet booth, scan your Valet ticket and pay the charge with cash or credit with the booth cashier or credit card only at the self-service valet kiosk.
    • Hotel guest Valet parking fee will be automatically charged to the room folio.
    • When the valet ticket is paid, the system will signal for the car to be retrieved. Use your ticket to retrieve your vehicle.

    • There is no complimentary period for valet as there is in Self-Park. All valet customers will be charged based on the time they receive a ticket from the valet attendant.

    • If a guest has paid for Self-Parking on their room account, their room key will give them access to other MGM Resort Self-Park facilities during their stay at no additional charge.

    • The room key will remain active until 11:59pm on the departure date.

    • Guests will be instructed to use the call button on the Pay-On-Foot kiosk to contact the Command Center. Using the vehicle license plate number, parking staff will attempt to locate the vehicle record to the accurate amount can be charged.
    • If the vehicle record cannot be located, the lost ticket fee for Self-Park will be 3x the regular overnight rate.

    • The Valet system registers when every car when it arrives. We can accurately calculate your total fee.

    • There is no extended Valet parking rate. When the vehicle is picked up the customer will be charged the full daily valet rate for as many days as the vehicle was parked.

    • The same way you always have in Las Vegas – by offering the attendant a cash tip when you are handed your keys. Tipping is appreciated, but has always been at the discretion of the customer and will remain so.

    • No. Cash tips can be offered at valet pick-up.

    • Pay-on-Foot kiosks will accept payment for parking fees but, at program launch will not have the ability to add tips to a credit card payment.

    • Registered hotel guests at MGM Resorts hotels who pay for overnight parking at their home resort receive free parking at all MGM resorts (self or valet), subject to availability.

    • Yes. Valet is a fee for service. Unless you are a Registered Hotel Guest, once you leave you will pay again if you return and use the service again.

    • Nevada residents with a valid Driver’s License may Self-Park for free up to 24 hours through December 29, 2016.
    • MGM Resorts is considering an Annual Pass and may implement one in 2017, after the Locals Offer has expired.
    • There is currently no Annual Pass for out-of-state residents.


M LIFE PARKING BENEFITS

    • Follow instructions and insert your M life card as you enter the Self-Park facility
    • OR Take a ticket as you enter and use a Pay-on-Foot Kiosk as you depart the resort. Insert your M life card when payment is requested and your parking fee will be waived.

    • M life members who have achieved Pearl Tier status and above are eligible for free Self-Parking, subject to availability.
    • Gold Tier status and above are eligible for free Valet parking, subject to availability.
    • M life members will need to have their valid M life membership card with them to use their parking benefit.

    • M life members eligible for free parking (self or valet) must have their card with them when they park in order to utilize the benefit.
    • An eligible guest who does not have his/her card can go to the M life Desk and request a new card. The new valid M life card can then be used on departure to utilize the free parking benefit, if eligible.

    • M life members who have achieved Gold Tier status or higher are eligible for free Valet, subject to availability.
    • Guest must have their M life card with them to receive free parking benefit.
    • Valet attendant will use a handheld scanner to swipe the guest’s M life card on arrival. The system will apply the free parking benefit to the guest’s valet ticket.
    • As the M life guest departs the resort, they must stop at a Self-Service Valet kiosk or Valet booth, scan their Valet ticket and show their M life card to the booth cashier or swipe their M life card at the self-service valet kiosk.
    • The parking benefit will be applied to their parking fee. When the valet ticket is paid, the system will signal for the car to be retrieved. When it is pulled up, the M life guest will hand the paid ticket to the Valet to claim their vehicle.
    • If the M life card was not swiped on arrival, the Valet attendant will ask to see the card, or, if using a kiosk, the guest will receive a prompt to swipe their M life card.

    • Yes. Free parking for eligible M life members extends to Event Parking, subject to availability, when in effect at MGM Resorts venues.
    • M life members will need to have their valid M life membership card with them to use their parking benefit.

    • M life members are discouraged from sharing duplicate cards for parking benefits. Any unauthorized use of duplicate M life cards to share parking benefits is subject to account deactivation.
    • M life cards will only activate parking gates once within a certain day period. Utilizing multiple cards, especially with friends or family members traveling together, will allow only the first user to open the gate. Subsequent users will be charged for their parking.

    • Tier updates are typically made within 24 hours. If your tier status elevates during your stay, your parking benefit could be active the next time you enter one of our parking facilities.

    • Parking charges paid on hotel room folios will be automatically credited to a guest’s M life account.
    • Parking fees paid at kiosks will not be automatically posted. Guests can take their paid parking receipt to the M life desk in any resort and have credits posted to their account.


LOCAL OFFER FOR NEVADA RESIDENTS

    • Yes. Nevada residents with valid Nevada Driver’s License will park for free up to 24 hours at all MGM Resorts Self-Park facilities through December 29, 2016, subject to availability and excluding Event Parking.
    • Locals’ Offer is not valid for Reserved Event Parking or for overnight parking. Vehicles parked for more than a 24 hour period will be charged the regular daily rate.

    • Any person with a valid Nevada Driver’s License is eligible to park free through December 29, 2016.

    • No, Valet is not part of the Locals’ Offer.

    • Local residents can scan the barcode on the reverse side of their valid Nevada ID at the entrance/exit to open the gates.
    • The Locals’ Offer is good in Self-Park only. It does not apply to Valet.
    • Locals’ Offer is not valid for overnight parking. Full day rate will apply if parking exceeds 24 hours.
    • If a driver mistakenly pulls a parking ticket at entry, they can scan their Driver’s License after inserting their parking ticket at the Pay-on-Foot kiosk and their parking fee will be waived.

    • The Locals’ Offer is for Nevada residents only.
    • State law requires new residents to obtain a Nevada license within 30 days of their move.

    • Yes. Unless they qualify for free parking as an M life member.
    • We encourage all our customers to sign up for M life membership. M life is not just a gaming card. It is a comprehensive customer loyalty card. In addition to gaming play, food and beverage purchases, hotel purchases, spa purchases will all built tier credits that could qualify members for a free parking benefit between now and the end of the year.

    • No. Locals will be asked to pay during major events when Event Pricing is in effect.

    • No. The local offer is meant as a daily offer for the convenience of our neighbors as we introduce this new program. A local guest will be charged the full overnight rate if their Self Park ticket exceeds 24 hours.

    • Exit gates are programmed so a single Nevada Driver’s License will open an outgoing gate only once during a set period. If the same license is used within that period, the second vehicle will be charged for parking.

    • No, we are currently unable to offer a military discount.


MULTI PROPERTY PARKING BENEFIT FOR HOTEL GUESTS

    • Hotel guests utilizing Self-Park will use their room-key to access parking facilities.
    • Hotel guests who choose to Valet will receive a special Valet ticket when they park at their home resort. That ticket will remain with them for the duration of their stay. It will allow them to valet park at any MGM Resort property without having to pay again, subject to availability. Additional details will be available at check in.

    • Valet guests will show their special valet ticket at check-in and it will be linked to their room account.
    • Self-Park guests will show their parking ticket at check-in and use their guest room key card to open parking gates during their stay.

    • No. Registered Hotel Guests staying at Event Resorts will not be charged event rates. They will be charged regular parking rates during event periods.

    • Yes, a Valet Hotel Guest can valet at all MGM Resorts properties at no extra fee. Their home resort Valet ticket will be valid for all locations, subject to availability.
    • Valet is limited to availability. If Valet is full at other resorts, guests will be offered Self-Park at no charge, subject to availability.

    • No, except in the limited circumstances outlined above, hotel guests who pay for Valet should park in Valet at other resorts.
    • If another resort is unable to accommodate them in Valet, the guest will be given access to Self-Parking at no charge, subject to availability.


EMPLOYEE AND VENDOR PARKING

    • Employees who follow proper parking guidelines as outlined by their individual property HR Department, will park for free in designated employee parking areas.
    • Employees who do not follow employee parking guidelines may be subject to disciplinary action and any applicable parking fees.

    • Vendor and tenant employees who follow proper parking guidelines, as outlined by the individual property, will park for free in designated employee parking areas.


EVENT PARKING

    • During major events at one of our three Strip arena venues – T-Mobile Arena, the MGM Grand Garden, and the Mandalay Bay Events Center – resorts may implement Event Parking as a traffic control measure.
    • This is part of an overall traffic control plan to help alleviate congestion near the event venue.

    • Yes. M life members will need to have their valid M life membership card with them to use their parking benefit.

    • Event Parking will be in effect for vehicles arriving between 4:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. in designated parking facilities on designated event nights.
    • Vehicles parking in these facilities during these periods are encouraged to purchase Reserved Event Parking in advance, available online at lasvegas.parkmobile.com.

    • Event Parking will vary depending on the type of event, expected attendance, and whether or not there are events at other resorts at the same time. A list of designated event nights can be found at lasvegas.parkmobile.com

    • No. Registered guests of resorts in Event Pricing status will be charged regular resort parking rates.


GENERAL INFORMATION

    • No. Motorcycles are not subject to parking fees. Motorcycles should drive around entry and exit gates without pulling a parking ticket.

    • There is no time limit for how long a guest can park. But there is no discount for long term stays. Daily rates will apply.

    • Our parking technology will actually record vehicles as they enter the garage and, in most cases, we will be able to quickly recall when a vehicle entered and charge the actual amount owed.
    • The Lost Ticket fee, which is three times the daily rate, is a last resort and will only be used in rare instances.

    • Yes, Pay-on-Foot kiosks will print receipts. The kiosk will prompt the guest to select the receipt option.

    • If your reservation was booked prior to May 12, 2016 and your hotel stay occurs after the implementation of fee-based parking you will not be charged for Self-Parking.
    • All guests utilizing Valet parking will be subject to parking fee if they choose that service, regardless of when the reservation was made.

    • No, complimentary parking is a benefit available through the M life program.
    • Local Nevada Residents park free up to 24 hours with a valid NV Driver’s License through Dec 29, 2016, subject to availability and excluding Event Parking.

    • Pre-paid parking for guests can be arranged in advance of the event. Discuss the situation with the manager prior to the date of your event.

    • No. Your parking fee will be waived by the department with which you are interviewing.

    • A guest will have 60-minutes to depart the parking facility after paying at a Pay-On-Foot kiosk. This should provide ample time to exit even during events.

    • We will continue to offer preferred parking and charging stations for electric and hybrid vehicles at many of our resorts.
    • Hybrid and electric vehicles will be charged regular parking rates.

    • Rental car companies will issue a card for your first exit from the facility.
    • Rental cars parked in our facilities are subject to the same rates as other vehicles.
    • When returning a rental vehicle, take ticket on entering parking facility, and turn it in to rental attendant with your vehicle keys.

    • You will need to pay for parking upon exit and then to return to the Front Desk of your home resort to have a new key magnetized. Turn in the valid parking receipt for reimbursement at your home hotel.

    • All MGM resort parking facilities offer the required amount of ADA accessible parking. ADA accessible parking is offered on a space available basis and charged at the same rate as other parking.

    • Resorts that have oversize parking areas will charge regular parking rates.

    • Resort surface lots will be part of the fee parking program and will charge the same rates as garage facilities.

    • Parking staff will take your information and arrange to bill you.

    • Yes. All entry/exits of our parking facilities are being upgraded. Lighting, cameras, and other aspects of the facilities are being enhanced for comfort, ease of circulation, and safety.
    • A Central Parking Command Center will have live operators on duty 24/7 who will be able to assist guests. Guests will be able to contact the Command Center from any entry/exit point.

    • No. The system will be configured to allow exit gates to open only once over a set period of time, preventing guests from sharing their key with other drivers.

    • Each of our Entry/Exit gates has a call button that will connect you with someone in our 24-hour Parking Command Center.
    • Call buttons are also available on our Payment Kiosks located in our resorts and parking facilities.
    • Each parking facility will also be staffed by employees and supervisors from SP+, our professional parking partner. Any member of the SP+ team will be able to assist you.

Terms & Conditions:

PARKING NOTICE: Starting on June 6, 2016 we will begin instituting paid parking at MGM Resorts parking facilities. Vehicles that are self-parked for more than one hour at the MGM Resorts properties listed below will be subject to a parking fee. The self-parking fee is $7 for vehicles parked between 1-4 hours and $10 for vehicles parked between 4-24 hours at the following resorts: Aria, Bellagio, Mandalay Bay, MGM Grand, Mirage, & New York - New York. The self-parking fee is $5 for vehicles parked between 1-4 hours and $8 for vehicles parked between 4-24 hours at the following resorts: Excalibur, Luxor & Monte Carlo.

The valet parking fee is $13 for the first 4 hours (no grace period) and $18 for between 4-24 hours at the following resorts: Aria, Bellagio, Delano, Mandalay Bay, MGM Grand, Mirage, New York - New York, & Vdara. The valet parking fee is $8 for the first 4 hours (no grace period) and $13 for between 4-24 hours at the following resorts: Circus-Circus, Excalibur, Luxor & Monte Carlo.

All parking fees repeat every 24 hours. Parking fees may be higher during special events.

Self-parking is complimentary for M life Rewards Members level Pearl and higher and valet parking is complimentary for M life Rewards members level Gold and higher. All complimentary parking is subject to availability.

For registered hotel guests, the 24 hour parking fee (self or valet) includes “in and out” privileges at the guest’s originating MGM Resort property and also includes the same “in and out” parking privileges at any other MGM Resort property within the same 24 hour period, subject to availability.

LOST TICKET: If you lose your self-parking ticket, we will attempt to determine how long your vehicle has been parked at our facility. If we can verify how long you have been parked, you will be charged for the actual amount of time parked. Otherwise, you will be charged a lost ticket parking fee of $30.00.
