Why does LVG play so many quality youth players but has never let (maybe most talented of them all) Pereira near the first team?

It's not just talent, attitude counts for a lot as well.

you clearly haven't seen the effort he put in under 21. He was playing out of his skin and celebrated winning as if he'd just won the Premier League. People can say what they want about Januzaj's attitude but Pereira is on it.

I've watched plenty of u21 games mate, attitude isn't just on the field though. There's also this allegation of him and Januzaj trying to score from corners in a game and Joyce being furious. Would account for both of their absences from the first team.

I have a sneaking suspicion if LVG stays we'll see a lot of Pereira next season.

He clearly is not ready for first team football but has the quality to make it eventually. The club knows this and wants to develop him further.

He really isn't that good. Might go on to be okay for a midtable La Liga side but won't make it here.

Yes i mean that potential got him to United that all stand, but raw potential is nothing without work ethic. And people in his age are starters in big teams or at least play big part while he cant brake into first team it show he stop working same as Januzaj they got into feel that they are special just because they are in United.

Pereira is a CAM. For me that person should be one of the best players in the team & is pivotal to any teams attack when using one.

I honestly just don't think he's ready for it. The performances we've seen of him in the first team haven't been anything to talk about. And while we may have had trouble with using a CAM effectively, I just don't see Pereira doing a better job than anyone else who's played there.

I think he's right in his interview & he should have gone out on loan where he could be a key person for the team. He just isn't ready for us yet.

He wasn't good enough. When opportunities arose, he never did much to cement his spot in the squad. I always refer to the Bournemouth game as one such opportunity. Lingard was injured. An impressive performance in that game would have done him a world of good. He didn't impress.

It's the same way it's worked for every other youth player we've seen in the squad. An injury necessitates their usage, and their performance solidifies their position until someone better pushes them out of the starting position.

Seriously though, I wish he played more this year. Unless there was something behind the scenes, I think he really could have jump started our anemic attack around winter, before Rashford broke though.
