About this project
WHAT?
Hello! We're the Citizens Advertising Takeover Service (C.A.T.S).
With your help, we're going to replace every single advert in a London tube station with pictures of cats, like this:
WHY?
a) it would look amazing
b) it’s exhausting being asked to buy stuff all the time
c) we can help lost cats find homes
Wouldn’t it be great not to worry about the holiday we can't afford, the car we don’t need, or the body we don’t have? Imagine a world where public spaces made you feel pawsitive.
HOW?
"Would they actually let you do it..?"
YES... We can turn a station into a roaring festival of cats. If we raise £20,000 we can do a whole platform in one of the smaller stations. Any higher and we're in the big leagues.
Plus... We've teamed up with Battersea Dogs & Cats home AND Cats Protection, so the final posters will feature real stray cats that need homes. The posters will remain completely unbranded, based on feedback from our backers.
------
We know this is a silly project. But what if we did this around the whole country, or in every major city in the world? Cats everywhere!
Dumb yes, but also this is about trying something, flexing our collective voice in the most idiotic of ways. From all this madness something amazing could happen. Perhaps we'll start to realise that buying stuff isn't making us happy.
Maybe cats won't make us happy either, but it’s got to be better than insurance adverts. Maybe during this moment of cat related calm we might have a brilliant thought, or a dumb one or even... spend a moment thinking about nothing at all.
WHO?
We’re a group of friends and cat lovers from London, England. We are not here to make money or sell anything. We're here to help people think a little differently, and perhaps C.A.T.S is just the start of something. If you want to find out more about us, our website is here.
So please fund this project, enjoy all the furry updates, and tell your friends about how you're part of the best replace-adverts-with-cats Kickstarter project EVER.

£1 reward: we will stroke a cat for you
According to science, over 30,000 people have checked out project already! If each one of these gave us £1, we'd have reached our target already (and our hands would be tired from stroking).
We need lots of bite-sized backers to help us reach our target. Pledge a pound and join the team!
-------
£20 Reward: Postcard + Digital Mockup. See Your Cat On The Tube!
For a £20 pledge, we'll design, print and send you a beautiful, high quality postcard of your own cat starring in a London Tube advert! We'll also send you a digital version within a day or two, which you can share with your friends, make your Facebook profile, or show to your cat as a surprise. We'll also stroke a cat for you and send you the online 'Cat Blocker'.
----------
£30 reward: limited edition C.A.T.S t-shirt!
Impress your pun-loving friends with the exclusive C.A.T.S T-Shirt. We might release some different ones as the campaign progresses, so get in early for this special version.
----
£100 reward: Your cat = famous
For a special gift, we'll reserve a small space on one of the posters for your cucumberphobic friend. We'll tell you when the ad is ready, and you can visit the platform to take the best selfie ever.
NB: Dogs disguised as cats not accepted.
Risks and challenges
1) We've asked a couple of the bigger ad companies, and we're confident that we can do around 10 posters with this amount. That would allow us to take over an entire platform, or an entire escalator.
Our stretch goal is £75,000, which would be enough for an small station. Any more than that and we could do Oxford Circus or something.
2) Possible risk to people who are allergic to cats: these are not real cats.

Around two or three weeks, depending on which station we go with. In that time, thousands and thousands of people will see and admire them.
