SMV is for women, beauty and the prospect of sex, for men strength and the prospect of commitment/attention. Learning how to have a high SMV by withholding commitment yet receiving sex is a thought in the front of my mind when working game.

You are probably asking yourself ... what the fuck does this have to do with cats ... bear with me I am getting there (or maybe you suspect where I am going). SMV does not equate to AV in general. Women may see commitment as what they value and this may be true after 30 but for now, what they really value ... is how you make them feel. This ties into the thrill of the chase. Why do women like alphas who give them no attention and who refuse to commit? Because that is what they would value in the absence of sex, a man that is strong and independent. Why do guys fantasize about women that will love them unconditionally and never leave? Because that is what they would value in the absence of sex. The relationship between humans and animals is without the driving forces behind the sexual market and therefore is where we see idealized platonic relationships. Women like cats, even if they are aloof and because they are low maintenance, men like dogs because they are loyal and always easy to love. This isn't always the case but it demonstrates the point.

If you want to be more alpha, strive to act like a cat not a dog. If you wish to settle down, look for women that are like dogs and who aren't attracted to cats. This is sort of random but maybe the analogy helped you to connect the ideas.

Women are like cats and Men are like dogs. You give food to a dog and the dog thinks "Wow, this guy gave me food HE must be a GOD", you give food to a cat and the cat thinks: "Wow, this guy gave me food I must be a GOD"

As someone who has owned both cats and dogs, I would say that both can be just equally clingy and loyal. When it comes to pets, it boils down to how they were socialized and raised.

I wouldn't base my mating pattern off of whether or not they like dogs or cats - especially in urban areas where there are a lot condos (and hence more cats to suit the smaller spaces).

That said - I do get your analogy

You ever try to pet a friend cat you just met? They will likely avoid you like the woman and the thirsty beta. But if you ignore a cat they well need your attention like the woman and the independent alpha. This can be annoying as someone who hates cats.

Lol can confirm the power of cat aloofness. My cat spends like 10 minutes letting me pet him and the rest of his time hunting animals in the yard and doing his own thing. Compare him to cats in the past who were always around, those cats were far easier to forget.

This post made me realize another interesting point. Well woman like dogs and cats... but most of the post-wall single woman have cats.
