You aren't right, you are an asshole of the highest degree. While you wouldn't make the decision, they made they could have followed all the rules they KNEW, and still ended up a victim. Not everyone has the same life experiences or knowledge as myself or you. I mean, I get what you are on about, they made a poor decision, in hindsight, but in reality we do not know how much effort the victims took in attempting to protect themselves, or how desperate they were. I have money and always will have, I cant imagine the lengths Id go to to eat if I was broke, I may make a poor decision but try and use good judgement. Does that make me a moron or desperate ?

And, finally, do you really need to bash sex abuse victims, is there not someone else you can take your douchiness out on ? Im sure you are a barrel of laughs, but you come across as someone who would be ok with someone getting abused if they were dumb.

There is a zero sum calculus to this, though. The innocence of a victim is proportional to the guilt of the perp. At least that is the perception. If the victim is a kid, that's terrible. if the victim is an adult that is bad. If the victim is a drug dealer, that's not as bad. If the victim is a serial murderer, that's possibly good. So if you are anything but compassionate to the victim, you are implicitly sympathizing on some level with the rapist (perp). That is the subtlety that is being missed in many of these comments.

Someone with poor judgement can be the kindest most innocent person on the planet. Pointing out someone's poor judgment doesn't mean you sympathize with some one who took advantage of them. If your grandma fell for a Nigerian Prince scam, I feel sorry for her, but sorry she's also an idiot.

What tumblr blog do you glean this horse shit from? Jesus Christ. this may come as a surprise but people can both:

A: look out for their own safety

B: be a victim.

All at the same time.

At what point is it my responsibility to look out for my own safety? Should I just never wear a seatbelt in a car? Based on your logic if someone crashes into me it's their fault, and that makes me an absolute victim and therefore I won't die when I'm ejected from the front windshield. Afterall, I should not HAVE to use any common sense and wear a seatbelt.
