Public Option Act or Medicare You Can Buy Into Act - Amends part A of title XVIII (Medicare) of the Social Security Act to authorize an option for any citizen or permanent resident of the United States to buy into Medicare.
Declares that such coverage satisfies the requirements of: (1) the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act that an individual maintain minimum essential coverage (individual mandate), and (2) the Internal Revenue Code for premium assistance eligibility with respect to a qualified health plan offered in the individual market in the health care exchange where the individual resides.
