Who should we be looking for to replace our Mr. Reliable, Mr. Super Cool, Our Midfield General Mr. Carrick.

I have some suggestions but they might not be mainstream enough/superstars/supertechnical spanish wizards to excite this sub. But I believe in solid, technically gifted players.

My suggestions are

Nzonzi (He's 27, playing for Sevilla) - He's tall, cool, defends well and his passing range is decent. Plus he has a shot on him.

Tom Carroll (He's 23, he's like a miniature carrick, has a high passing percentage, very creative, playing for Spurs and highly valued, might have a break out season next year for Poch)

Kroos (He's 26, plays for Real Madrid, probably the most expensive of the lot, and probably would be hard to prise from Real as he is a guaranteed starter, excellent passing range, excellent shooting, great defensive covering)

Daley Blind (Our own very Blind can be a suitable replacement for Carrick. Great passing range, great intelligent defender, but a bit slow, albeit carrick wasn't the fastest player in the world)

Nuri Sahin (27, plays for Dortmund, he's very intelligent and can orchestrate from the back. His defensive skills might need a shake up but if we end up playing someone more defensive alongside him, Sahin can shine. He's like a fabregas somewhat)

Julian Weigl (20, Dortmund player, apparently an outstanding talent in the middle, haven't seen much of him but he has been apparently been a starter for Tuchel's team and he holds up the possession very well.)
