Pretty sure I didnt ask anyone to upvote. I said and I quote "I need your votes" and "help me with your clicks"

That is the very definition of vote manipulation as set forth in the Reddit rules.

*Asking people to vote up or down certain posts, either on Reddit itself or through social networks, messaging, etc. for personal gain.

Im pretty sure the context of that is asking people to vote a specific way, whether it be up or down, not to use their freedom to vote how they want.

I'm not trying to be argumentative with the following question if at all possible, but I would just legitimately like to know - aren't meta posts kind of allowable? I'm not sure how I feel about the nature of this particular post, regardless of it's content, but I was actually wondering about that before you posted this comment.
