Our new sign with my work was finished being installed this morning. I made small talk with one of the guys.. He said something about before his wife passed away she would always worry about weight. He had to leave early for another project.. One of the other workers said his wife was actually murdered not too long ago by someone who is now in prison without the possibility of parole. The worker said the guys wife was brutally beaten, thrown in a trunk, and then drug behind a...
truck with a rope out in a field until she was no longer alive. When the worker that lost his wife was leaving he looked at me and said "Hey Rush I hope something amazing happens in your life today." At that time I thought what an inspiration after being so young (30) and losing a spouse ... Not knowing until after the gruesome details. I tell you all this because his outlook on life has been to lift people up and wish people well.. I don't know how many of us could lose a spouse in that kind of manner and have such a positive outlook on life and put positivity into others lives each day.. Wow what a blessing it was to cross paths with this man. Life is short. And I am so grateful for another day on this planet!

I also continue to post articles (though it may seem annoying) but I want to make sure all of these writers know from all of us supporting safe bathrooms how grateful we are that we can bring this issue to light and make it a topic of concern(currently over 30 articles & stories). Just as I want my 3 year old niece ...to feel safe using the bathroom, I also want my wife, my family, and my LGBT community to feel that as well.
