Hah, I guess I prefer the Orthodoxs. For some reason, Rommelians piss me off more than the usual Wehraboo.

At least with the usual Wehraboo there's at least some basis for it. Germany's actions appear very impressive for the first years of the war and a casual Googler will find some casualty counts for the Eastern Front that support the mythical Aryan ubermensch.

Rommel on the other hand. He did virtually nothing. He had one good attack, which was basically an exact copy of Wavell's from a couple of years earlier (and also didn't really achieve much in terms of Desert Warfare). And then he captured a whole bunch of useless desert and got rekt hard. Which has somehow been turned into "super awesome tactics man nearly pushes Britain out of Africa".

Yeah, my arguments with one guy that literally used Guderian's full name for his username and that insists that us "Victor-syndrome" (his exact words) guys know nothing about Rommel and that he's actually a good general (but "a bad general" somehow contradicting himself) but a good general are quite painful.

I need to link that conversion here at some point,. I have 3 up my sleeve, ready to post.

What would the Shia-Sunni split in Islam be the equivalent of here?

I only follow Dönitz's witnesses. His Uboots sank so that perfidous Albion could life...or something.
