By that same token, don't buy games on release day. Games may be incomplete, buggy, or straight up bad. Be a responsible consumer and only buy after reviews say they are good.
Also, don't trust reviewers. They may be paid off by Bethesda and EA, or they may have highly rated a game that you disliked at some point in the past which invalidates anything they say from there on.
No, the only time you should buy a game is after the PC gaming community on Reddit decides that it's a good game worth your time and money. How do we come to such a consensus? By either preordering/buying on release, or by being told what to think by reviewers.
