Can we please stop complaining about the Eurovision results? I am not a fan of the winning song (but then I didn't really like any other song on the contest) and I certainly do not like the fact that it was obviously politically charged, but it is not a new thing for Eurovision. Everyone knows and accepts that Eurovision is as much (if not greater) about politics as it is about music. I'd say it is a win-win situation for Russia. We won the sympathies of people AND do not have to spend ridiculous amount of money to host the next event.

Anyway, now we have a pleasure of trolling Ukrainian government while picking a contestant for the next year (considering the fact that half of Russian artists are banned from Ukraine, but the government cannot really refuse their participation in the event).

Personally I am looking foward to someone trying to wave a rainbow flag at next years event, I will have my timer out to see how long they would last. Russia gets a lot of criticism for their treatment of gays but westerners don't realise that Ukraine is probably 1000% worse.

While you are all bickering over who should have won this useless contest you fail to think beyond the obvious. The powers that be are ones giving you this wonderful little moment of entertainment. Why? It is certainly not because they too well with pride when their country wins. They could care less. They give you this contest, and every other contest including sporting events, to distract you and keep you fighting among yourselves over the simplest of things as whose garden is nicer. Divide and Rule. You will never be able to organize against them if you are too busy beating each other senseless over football matches. Remember, your master is well organized. You run around in circles all day because they, with their organizations, make sure you are too distracted to pay any attention to what they are doing. Ask yourself, why do you care about Eurovision? Can you live without it? What does it do to improve you?

That's all Ukraine is getting these days from their new "brothers". Bunch of tweets and internet points. Nobody is actually helping them in any significant way. Should've taken Russian money and gas deal. But if the money were "too dirty" for them then I guess they prefer poverty.
