I kind of think the goal highlights one the problem we have been having this season. There are so many things in that move where things could break down be it the ball into Mata, Mata's ball back to Martial, Martials ball in, Rashford choosing to step over or the shot. For most of the season when promising moves have been on the cards one of those parts hasn't been anywhere near perfect and the chance of the goal goes

I'm not sure there is any evidence that backs that up. There haven't exactly been many successful managers recently who came up through the Championship.

And the bigger problem is the club in question. The fans make it a poison chalice, they expect the earth but dont have the history, attractiveness or resources to deliver that no matter what.

reddevils 内の TheReplacer によるリンク Report: Newcastle considering move to appoint Ryan Giggs

[–]wakey87433 19ポイント20ポイント  (0子コメント)

Would be the worst move ever for him. Newcastle fans are the most deluded set of fans around. Apart from those couple of years under Keegan Newcastle haven't been a top team since the before 1930 yet their fans think they are Barcelona and unless they are challenging for the title they turn on their managers really quickly. This is unless you are considered 'One of them' where you get a free ride.

Pardew is a perfect example, he did a decent job at Newcastle including one season massively over achieving yet the Newcastle fans were never happy with him and were always on his back. Its no surprise he jumped ship when he could and has even said its nice to be at a club now where the majority of the crowd actually want you in the job.

The fans almost make failure of managers a self fulfilling prophecy and Giggs would just be hounded out from day 1 even if he was doing well. Any manager with half a brain wouldn't touch that job with a barge pole

[–]wakey87433 1ポイント2ポイント  (0子コメント)

The CW hasn't been aiming at Teenage girls for a while now, their target demo has been much wider for a long time now but unfortunately for its shows too many people think like you do which hurts its ratings. Arrows been a bit poor the last two seasons because of way too much focus on the Olicity relationship which has largely ruined both Felicity and Oliver as charachters and ruined dynamics for the rest of the cast but the first two seasons were great, Legends of Tommorrow has been a little uneven, it's not really been ever been awful and when it's been good it's been really good but it bounced between an ok episode and great episodes. Flash is brilliant although season 2 hasn't been quite as good as season 1. None of them are teenage girl demo only though, neither are some of their other shows such as iZombie or The 100 (TBH even things like Jane the Virgin and Crazy Ex Girlfriend that seems like it should be for that demo are much smarter and have a wider appeal)

Supergirl is also worth checking out, it's a little rough at the start but gets really good as the season goes on. Even early on Mellissa Benoist and Calista Flockhart are both excellent.

Gotham is very cheesy even in the first season and it doesn't really work in the first season. The second season it ramps up the cheese and craziness and actually gets much better for it.

Agent Carter IMHO is better than Agents of Shield even though Agents of Shield has been really excellent in Season 3 and second half of Season 1. Season 2 of AoS is a bit of a mess, it's doing too much groundwork for the wider MCU IMHO and has too many stories in the air. It needed more focus and perhaps both of the world building stories (civil war setup and inhumans setup) could have been more secondary stories in the background rather than driving the season.

JJ and DD are both excellent. While still in the MCU both have a different tone, a much darker one

See I thought S2 was a bit of a mess, not as much as the first half of season 1 but no where as good as the post Winter Soldier S1. At times they seemed to have too many balls in the air and seemed to be focusing too much on world building for the MCU because the stories were largely seeming to be putting in the ground work for Civil War and inhumans. It had some good episodes and certainly isn't awful but as a season could have been tighter

We could end up playing the last match of the season as technically our first match of Next season although even then how do we fit it in with both clubs already having their pre season games mapped out and if we win the FA Cup the week before the first league game will be taken up by the Charity Shield

netflix 内の Tuxinet によるリンク [Norway] Why does netflix offer higher bandwidth in Edge compared to other browsers?

[–]wakey87433 1ポイント2ポイント  (0子コメント)

Licencing reasons relating to DRM. HTML5 doesn't have an agreed DRM standard so content owners won't sign off anything above 720p (some won't even sign off that much)

OSX and Windows10 have OS level DRM built in which their own browsers can hook into so those two are the only HTML5 implementations that have been signed off especially as both MS and Apple never bother with standards and go for their own standards so even when HTML5 does have a standard agreeded they won't be switching. The rest of the browsers will have to wait until the standard is formalised and even then some may sign off without OS level DRM as it's generally less secure

And worst of all this is the ref who lost us 2 points when he gave Newcastle a soft penalty for Smalling wrestling with a player yet multiple times City players today have had their arms wrapped around Swanseas players while he is looking right at it. I don't watch it but most of those kinds of shows have a disclaimer at the end stating something along the lines of 'Parts of this show were scripted'.

This show in particular has had a number of people associated with the show claim that parts are scripted, fabricated and even plenty of the real aspects happened off camera and were recreated for TV with writers spicing it up. Also claims have been made that many of the people who appear outside the core cast are actors who are hired

While the blanket statement in Arthur is wrong there are some sub sections of the genre where it is scripted. Reality is a fairly broad genre and as such there is wide range of how far the producers go in manipulation and it can all depend on what each persons deems a reality show

There are some reality shows with no manipulation at all, others where the manipulation is in the editing suite to misrepresent what is happening, others with the kind of manipulation that UnReal highlighted and finally some where large sections are completly scripted.

Shows in the vain of Vanderpump rules, The Hills and the likes are the ones that are largely scripted, they will use reality to dictate how they script it, if two people hate each other it makes sense to use that but much of what we hear on screen is written for them.

Compitition reality on the other hand is largely using either clever editing, leading questions for cut away interviews and in some cases psychological manipulation. They also at times will recreate things that actually happened if for some reason what's captured of the instance isn't perfect

Netflix are not a company that at this time is that financially secure, they spend the same on content as they make and have to borrow billions each year so people stealing access rather than pay for it really isn't helping them

Netflix have very little infrastructure actually. Most of it is running through Amazon's Webservices (like many of the big web services).

And even if all the rest died Netflix doesn't become financially viable, their problem is their low price, with no secondary income streams and spending extreame amounts on original content which is only increasing

And FOXTEL don't pay just for GoT, they pay HBO a holding deal so they will always have content people want to watch as long as HBO is making shows that attract subscribers in the US.
