As some of you may have noticed a lot of content has disappeared in this last 24 hours.
I'll try summarizing what has been happening lately.
About a week ago someone named "R2D2" started deleting a lot of random posts/ images that were posted here.
We have a few active volunteers here who will often promptly answer to reports and actively seek and delete violating content but most of what deleted by this seemingly new global volunteer was fairly tame stuff that did not violate the guidelines described in the Dost page.
Then yesterday "copypaste" (a.k.a., Hotwheels) deleted many threads and gave a few 6-week to perm bans to a significant number of posters here, something that was very abrupt and it still not clear exactly the reasons why it happened.
After that "tiw" (a.k.a., the new BO of/operate/) also came to the board and deleted a lot of random posts and banned many users.Apparently he's still doing that.
As of now, about 2/5 of the threads were deleted and I'm uncertain about the future of this board and of 8chan in general.
