The Spongebob game was fanservice.

Fanservice the Grumps cannot provide cause they clearly have no attachment to the show. They didn't comment on Bubblebuddy, Hans, the Fish News Caster or anything.

This was never supposed to be a long playthrough.

EXACTLY! Neither one of them were fans of the show to begin with so the game was not gonna charm them that much.

That's fair, but I'd still like to see it just as all the Zelda fans wanted to see Ocarina and so on and so on. Appreciate the feedback tho thanks!

(THIS IS JUST OPINIONS PLEASE DON'T KILL ME)

I have no attachment to Spongebob at all, and the game looks fairly mediocre to me. I've heard people complain about them skippping all the dialogue, and saying that it's the game's strongest point, but if the show is based off of two friends having a coversation with gameplay thrown in, having them sit in awkward silence while a cutscene's running for half the episode just won't work. I personally am not enjoying this series at all, and agree with Arin; it's clearly made for fans, which the grumps are clearly not. It probably makes more sense to play this for yourself if you want to experience it. And I'd much prefer Arin and Danny battling their way through OoT- which Dan seems to love and Arin seems too grudgingly tolerate, like Mario 64- than see them fake joy aat a game neither of them gives a shit about.

I'm with you. It's a very overrated game that offers absolutely no material for the Grumps to work off of. They don't know Spongebob, they don't give a fuck about Spongebob, and all of that aside the gameplay itself is really sub-par and lazy. And you make a great point about the voice acting: there's just absolutely nothing for them to play off of with that and thus it's boring for the viewer. Like this is a game that's not really good or bad, it just kind of is, and that's something you can't play off of. Great games they get lost in and show enthusiasm in playing and bad games are really fun to riff on when they break etc. This was just the single most middle of the road thing possible and as a result we got a middle of the road Game Grumps out of it.
