Only tend to have legit hatred towards "Console peasants" when their rigs are also pretty weak? Like for example, I RARELY see PC gamers with high end rigs even really care about Console gamers because they are likely "well off" enough to buy a console if they ever deem one necessary for their gaming needs.

It's pure anecdotal evidence that i've garnered from myself (I own a high end rig + PS4), friends and numerous other people i've called out online but it's just something I found pretty interesting. Usually it's the PCfriends with weak rigs who feel as if they are in direct competition with these "console peasants" who feel the need to defend their "masterrace" position.

Dude don't say 'gaymer', come on.

But yeah a lot of this is a shitty desire to justify one's purchasing habits and weird 21st century tribalism, which smooths out almost instantly if you're just a part of every community at once.

That doesn't mean you won't have strong preferences, like I fucking hate it when games are on the 3DS because it has a godawful screen, severely underpowered hardware and it takes an eternity to download anything.
