the people who are functionally administrators already

Sure ... democratically elected administrators.

Councils block and approve DAs, which to a large extent sets the character for different areas of Sydney.

The Inner West is very different in character from other parts of Sydney, because that's the way we like it.

A Liberal government imposing administrators on us has the potential to completely change the character of the area, and if more of WestConnex is approved, it certainly will.

edgelord game

That sounds pretty stupid.

Phillipe was about as effective as a screen door on a submarine.

Isn't that exactly what we want :| ?

But the EU to a large extent is also run by unelected administrators ... so you're merely confirming my point.

Bringing in the administrators to run Greece was a coup, too.

CapitalismVSocialism 内の Stromeleag によるリンク [Both] Is there any genuine difference between inflation & deflation, besides numbers?

[–]cojoco 0ポイント1ポイント  (0子コメント)

Sure ... in times of inflation, there is an incentive to spend money now, as it will drop in value.

In times of deflation, there is an incentive to hang on to your cash, because if you wait you will be able to buy more stuff in the future.

That's why investment drops during times of deflation.

It's a way of brushing aside opposition to WestConnex.

But it's not fair: there's a $17B motorway being built through these areas, and the only entities able to make a legal challenge in the Land and Environment Court have just been disbanded.

Well, yeah, because most people are pretty much media illiterate

"People are stupid so it doesn't matter what we do"

I don't think that's what TouchingWood meant.

I think they meant that even highly skilled people have difficulty finding unimpeachable sources to trust.

No ... it's a coup.

Unelected administrators will run these councils for the next 18 months.

And you're saying that the New York Times is not like that?

Reading the NY Times of today is rather much like reading Pravda in the 1980's, the truth is there between the lines, but it takes a lot of training to reach it.

Certainly more topics get reasonable treatment in the USA.

But there have been plenty of analyses of New York Times articles demonstrating clear bias, to the point where its treatment of some subjects are based more upon editorial policy than reality.

It's ironic that the two most powerful countries on Earth have tightly controlled propaganda instead of news?

Tragic, more like.
