Scenario 2: Drunk future mom, we'll call her Katy is ordering another round when she should be cut off. Other customers see her getting the drink and question the judgement of management to be doing this. They then make a connection to the judgement in how she is being handled to how the food must be handled.

Lol whut? I must be drunk already, I don't understand this.

I say we let them drink. Their offspring will be retarded and can't reproduce. We win. Less tards running around. Just my $0.02.

Besides being outrageously offensive, that is also not true. People with fetal alcohol syndrome are generally quite capable of reproducing.

Haha. This is ridiculous. No Dr would advise even moderate drinking during pregnancy. My feeeemale obgyn, during my pregnancy however, actually told me that one or two glasses of red wine or 2 beers a week after the 1st trimester was actually good for me. A small amount of beer cleans the kidneys, wine has antioxidants and helps with hormonal stress, and in small amounts, does nothing to hurt a fetus in middle to advanced pregnancy. Heck my hard-ass German breastfeeding coach advised me to drink a beer a day to get my milk flowing.

Caffeine every day is far worse than 2 glasses of wine a week. The reason doctors advise no alcohol period is because there are idiots and addicts all over who can't regulate intake. A lot easier to say "don't do it at all" than to give reasonable boundaries and expect people to follow them.

Please don't take this as medical advice as this is only an anecdote I'm sharing based on my personal experience.

I've heard of this. Yeah, it seems that if you only drink a little, you'll be ok.

And it definitely depends on what. No liquor, no white wine, barely any caffeine. I had such caffeine withdrawals through pregnancy and breastfeeding I was miserable lol.

As much as I hate to say it, I'm kind of with TRP on this one. It'd be one thing if it was just about women entering bars, but

New guidelines unveiled last week say that bars cannot refuse to serve pregnant women alcohol, arguing that such treatment is discriminatory.

tells me it isn't. On the other hand, I have no idea where they're getting this 'Brave New World' conspiracy shit. I remember the Bush administration, I seriously doubt the American government is even competent enough to pull off a conspiracy of that scale, and I have no idea why they'd even want to. It's just a stupid law that does more harm than good, which we've no shortage of either in America or here in Britain or anywhere else for that matter.
