Someone once posted their own project to the sub, possibly not realizing what this sub was about (it was also posted to /r/kickstarter)

This happens with some regularity. I can't figure out if it's yet another proof that you can always count on people being idiots, or if they're hopeful applications of the "no such thing as bad publicity" principle.

The opposite happens regularly: creators of shitty campaigns posted here show up in the comments to defend their product. They see that their campaign gets traffic from here. I know for a fact that my link to the dragonfly futurefon posted here was their biggest referral link (i accidentally won their referral contest :D)

Ahh yeah that totally makes sense. I've seen a few guys defend their bullshit projects.

Which is logic, the scammer want to defend his cake, what is not is people who have been scammed that still come here defending the obvious scam. I don't get it, it's like people believe they can't be scammed so much they can't realize they've actually been victim of a scam, they just don't want to admit it themselves so go on defending their scammers. Unbelievable. It's like someone getting raped and defending her rapist publicly because in her mind something like that can't happen to her.

Mine did, though it was quickly downvoted to oblivion.
