Here is a nice quote of his (unrelated to the article):

  • He who joyfully marches to music in rank and file has already earned my contempt. He has been given a large brain by mistake, since for him the spinal cord would fully suffice. This disgrace to civilization should be done away with at once. Heroism at command, senseless brutality, and all the loathsome nonsense that goes by the name of patriotism, how violently I hate all this, how despicable and ignoble war is; I would rather be torn to shreds than be part of so base an action! It is my conviction that killing under the cloak of war is nothing but an act of murder. - Albert Einstein

most of the major states of history owed their existence to conquest. The conquering peoples established themselves, legally and economically, as the privileged class of the conquered country.

Laying the foundation for the NAP.

This crippling of individuals I consider the worst evil of capitalism. Our whole educational system suffers from this evil. An exaggerated competitive attitude is inculcated into the student, who is trained to worship acquisitive success as a preparation for his future career.

This is describing the indoctrination that occurs within schools, even back then.

I am convinced there is only one way to eliminate these grave evils, namely through the establishment of a socialist economy, accompanied by an educational system which would be oriented toward social goals.

Yeah...

I think or perhaps hope, that the distinction between crony and free-market capitalism wasn't known to him. He seems to be treating them as one in the same. For example, he blames the schools for molding children into non-individuals, but he doesn't recognize that it's the government that sets the curriculum and forces participation. So I suspect he was just never introduced to free-market ideas as it related to government interventionism.
