[MODPOST] Transfer Posts (self.reddevils)

Hi all,

Every player under the sun will be linked with us as league seasons begin to wrap up. At this time we're asking people stick to the principle of only posting very concrete sources for transfer rumours to avoid clogging the sub up with opinion pieces and unreliable rumours.

Once the Cup final is past and the Euro's start, we'll start the rumour threads again so people can discuss their thoughts and opinions again.

Do keep in mind only rumours and news from Tiers 0, 1 and maybe 2 can be submitted individually as a link or as a text post, everything else belongs in this thread. For the ease of our members, I've included the tier and reliabilty guide below.

The reliability of the transfer rumours can be assessed using our very own reliability hierarchy for transfer news. I've included it below.

Tiers -
Tier 0 Can vary. It used to be for undisputed sources like manutd.com but it's also sort of an inside joke these days.
Tier 1 Very reliable journalists who have sources at the club
Tier 2 Good journalists who generally print realistic things.
Tier 3 Rumours or clickbait, usually average reliablity.
Tier 4 Low reliability stuff like "Ander Herrera and Mata have a fallout".
Tier 5 Banned sources like the Metro, Express and Sun.
Tier IndyKaila Utter shite.

Can the SportWitness brigade also stop getting around the above with their "it's a reliable local [whatever] paper". It's never a reliable paper. It's usually Portugal's Daily Star equivalent.

Agreed. We've added a lot of foreign papers to the reliability chart. My aim this weekend is to head through it again and add a load of Portuguese, French and German sources where I can.

At that point we might consider banning sport witness as it's an aggregator and those shouldn't be posted as links.

    Are we getting a re shuffling for some of the journalists with regards to there tier status? I feel like there should be some demotions and maybe the odd promotion.
