This thing is powerful!!! :) I had a slight problems with it at first and had to disable the power throttling options and now it works extremely well.

This thing runs ridiculously hot without a decent afterstock cooler (air or water), which is expected for a CPU of high performance. Huge props to making the CPU a great, affordable workstation tier CPU.

This thing is a beast. It handles everything thrown at it, complements the GPU quite well and just is great. I have it set at 4.7 right now (4.9 didn't quite want to stay stable so I left it at 4.7). I am happy that I went with it and will be sticking with AMD in the future as long as I can look forward to this type of performance.

Only gripe I had with it is that it came with 4.9 stock. I had quite a few random restarts and blue screens at that level and wasn't sure why. Finally, after lowering it down to 4.7 I was able to realize that it was just clocked wrong. Will try bumping it back up later on but for now it will stay at 4.7 as it works great there anyway.

Fast right out of the box, it handles the simultaneous running of multiple demanding programs flawlessly. This is the AMD processor most focused on performance; and I have faith in the reliability of AMD CPUs. Never has an AMD machine died on me. My very first computer, a Windows 98 AMD Compaq Presario, STILL works.

Very capable processor. Best bang for the buck performance. I purchased it for $180 at microcenter and could not be happier. It has a reputation for being a space heater, but I have not had any issues with it. Stock 4.7ghz with 5.0 turbo clocks are plenty capable, although I did have it stably clocked up to 5.2ghz on water cooling.

So far this is the best CPU I've had. It's fast enough for what I do, gaming mostly. So far the only thing I can say that is negative is that it is a FURNACE, but even then, I haven't needed a space heater during the last couple of winters.

Absolute power hungry CPU, does the job but you have to have the money for it...

Excellent Processor if you don't want to overclock but want a high clocked CPU also without water cooler it runs very hot. I suggested getting a 8350 if you aren't getting a water cooler or want to overclock from stock rather than going with a high base clock.

This Sucker's incredible, and even with slightly underclocking it; The Performance completely out weighs the fuss (I feel anyways) with setting up the bios just right to keep the system stable
