This thread is a hypothetical response to all the negativity around the sub at the moment and whilst that negativity is justified it is a bit of a depressing place to be at the moment. But say tomorrow Woodward announces LVG is staying next year, what do we do in the summer, who do we sign, how well do we do next season?

I was curious to see if anyone had an opinion on these things, hopefully more positive and discussion inclusive answers than "relation, sign nobody and play like shit".

IMO in the summer we'll attempt to fix our midfield problem by signing more young players, on the right wing we'll bid big for a ton of big players but end up with someone average from the PL. I think we might also buy another young striker and an average CB alongside smalling. If we need a new keeper I can't see us letting De Gea go without getting Navas.

I think we'll finish around 6th next year playing the same football, only slightly better due to the new signings.

But what does everyone else think?
