Late night procrastination rant (self.reddevils)

It's finals week and I'm pulling an all nighter tonight and the last thing I want to do right now is study so I figured I should procrastinate. I'm a fairly new United fan (declared my fandom after watching 2008 CL final and made me fall in love with the game) but hadn't started really following soccer heavily until about 4 years ago but since then I have been obsessed. So forgive my ignorance.

Anyway, as I sit here in my Rooney jersey, I can't help but reflect on the season a bit.

This season has been an absolute bore. I used to set my alarm at 6am after a heavy night of binge drinking (Iowa City) just so I can wake up and watch the boys but now I can't even bring myself to watch the late afternoon games because I could spend my time more wisely. I'm indifferent about LVG. I think he is trash but at the same time he kept United contending for CL with a squad full of youngsters with little experience and old guys whose best days are behind them. I would like to see Giggsy get the nod because I feel as if he might still have the SAF spark in him but his inexperience makes me nervous. I do know one thing though, Jose can fuck right off. I'd rather have LVG than Jose.

Yes I understand he is one of the best managers in the game and what not but he is a massive cunt and I honestly can't see myself supporting United with him at the helm (yes, I know that's shallow). I think his tactics are garbage and he will just be a worse continuation of this "philosophy". I don't understand why everyone wants him so bad other than "he's one of the best to ever manage" and I get that he wins trophies but fuck, his style is so damn boring and he's a cunt.

I like to think I'm a loyal fan (diehard Chicago Cubs, New York Jets, and Iowa Hawkeyes fan so I have been through more than my fair share of disappointment) and maybe I just have a sour taste in my mouth but I can feel myself entering fandom free agency depending on how this summer goes.

I would like to see Giggsy get the nod because I feel as if he might still have the SAF spark in him but his inexperience makes me nervous. I do know one thing though, Jose can fuck right off. I'd rather have LVG than Jose.

Jose did manage clubs before his last borefest with Chelsea. In fact, some of his former clubs' highest scoring seasons have been under Mourinho.

I do not know much about the soccer world pre-2011. I just remember watching the 08 final and really liking Carlos Tevez for some reason so I chose United to be my favorite team. That little bit was more anecdotal than anything.

We need to get back to winning mentality. We lost too many of our old players who know what is required to win titles. Most of these new players have not yet gained Man Utd identity, and we have too many soft and kind players in our team. Hugs flying around everywhere ffs.

Mourinho is the only one available at this time to get us back to the winning mentality. He will come in and question the commitment of our players because most of them are in a very nice and comfortable zone.

You pose a very very good point. That is exactly what United needs and Mourinho would be the man to do that. But that also brings fourth the question, what the fuck happened to Chelsea this season?

The players turned on him at Chelsea, the fans chanted Mourinho's name even after he was sacked and to me that tells the truth. Mourinho openly said that he brings in new players so that existing players do not get comfortable, and he was not backed in the transfer window to do this properly.

Mourinho isn't a cunt, he's abrasive and antagonistic, and that wins him (fucking loads of) titles. Somewhat similarly to a certain Sir Alex. The only difference between the two is Mou lost his head when he poked Tito in the eye.
