I remember a user that would post in places like /r/depression and such about how the government was after him because he had uncovered some secret conspiracy. People gave him advice about what to do, go to the doctor, go to the police, etc but he shot it all down. He sounded absolutely insane, and it was obvious he had schizopenia or something like that. If you looked at his comment history you could see his posts descending deeper and deeper into madness. Beautiful but terrifying.

Why do you assume that these women were elected not because they were qualified, but because they are woman?

So if your country's parliament was 95% leftists (but they were the most qualified, whatever the hell that means) you wouldnt have a problem with that?

Iran's new parliament has more women than clerics

Gender is one of the many ways you can be represented. Equality in parliament is necessary in a democracy. According to your own comment, representation does not matter if the most qualified officials are not elected, which is the point that I was disputing.

what good is eqaulity if you're not electing the most qualified officials?

Define 'most qualified'.

If your 'most qualified' (whatever that means to you) officials are compromised of 95% males, what good does that do for the 50% of the population thats female? They are underrepresented in that case.

Trump would be such a disaster and make America such an embarrassment to the international community, maybe it would knock some sense into people to finally make changes

Sorry, thats a sick way of thinking. Lets fuck over regular people to wake them up?

History has shown for progress to happen, a disaster has to take place.

No, no, no...

History shows us that voting in a far-right militant nationalist never accomplishes anything.

I dont like Hillary either, I'm not telling you to vote for the lesser of two evils. But accelarationism is disgusting.

I dont know what "means of production" means, but I dont think you what socialism is. Socialism is when the government does stuff. Like building roads or the military. Under a socialist like Bernie Sanders, you would pay taxes and those taxes would be used to make things free, like college and and healthcare. People like you need to learn what socialism actually is before talking about it.

Did you read my comment? I'm not talking speech that hurts feelings, I'm talking about speech that causes violence and hate crime. Your right to say "Kill all the _____!" is not more important than the actual people that are targeted by those who listen to you.

Foreign leaders 'shocked' at U.S. rhetoric on Muslims: Kerry

What about speech that advocates violence against another group? Free speech is obviously a great thing and is neccessary in any democracy, but there still needs to be limitations (you can't yell "fire" in a crowded building, for example, so no the 1st amendment is not absolute). The problem with hate speech is that it leads to hate crime and it leads to the victims losing their rights.
