To Chris who received his cooler and was asking about a 'travel bag'. Great idea: Let's start a Kickstarter fundraiser and if we can get 10,000 people to pledge $100, 'maybe' we can make it happen...lol...... So dude, glad you got your cooler and are enjoying it, but this is the wrong forum for that question.

    7. CDRudd 2 days ago

When this first start, I pledged. FIRST time ever usin Kickstarter. And I was proud, and Bragged that I'd be getting a coolest. I even convinced a few friends to get in on this.

NOW, instead of being proud, it's more of a shame of being involved. And those friends aren't so friendly anymore. in fact, only 1 of them still talks to me.

Every summer, my works hold a big beach party for all those leaving and all those new employees. Every year they want to see the coolest. And every year, I have to tell them of my shame of not getting it. Litterly to the point of trying to be the guy that mans the shop while everyone else is at he party, so I don't have to deal with the coolest question anymore. THANKS RYAN. You've made the summer parties something to dredd.

If you can make enough coolers to sell retail then you should damn well give your investors their coolers. I need to understand.
We backed you over $200.00 per cooler.
Most of us haven't received the coolers that we paid for!
You ask us for a lot more money so we can get the coolers that other investors received without them having to pay a nickel more.
Now your telling us that we could go out and purchase them via retail so that you can make money to deliver the investors what they've paid for and have been waiting for for a couple of years now?!!!! Because you are obviously a special kind of stupid, I will type the next statement slowly:: Send the investors the ones you plan on selling retail!! It's people like you that make me lose any kind of hope for mankind and/or their future!!! There is no more honesty, dignity or self respect in people anymore. Who cares that you bilked how many people out of hard earned money? You obviously don't!! I am embarrassed for you and ashamed of you!

I received my orange cooler early on so I suppose I was an early backer. It's hard in this position to say anything positive but it's clear he has produced coolers and he has got himself in a serious jam. But he didn't take ten million and disappear. You are out $185 so far which, if that is a life altering sum for you, shame on you for pledging in the first place.
Frankly I'm amazed at his resilience and determination to keep going.
It's not easy is it being entrepreneurial, or managing your own unhappy lives and how easy is it to go ballistic over two hundred bucks. Shame on me I've lost lots more trusting friends known to me in person!

      Dear Ryan,

I know you tried hard to get the cooler to us on time.

However, my daughter's time is running out due to cancer and she really wanted to see the cooler. I was teaching her about business and we spent time together using you as an example of how honest business people who work hard can create a business that provides good products at a reasonable profit.

Please hurry so that she won't be dIsappointed before the worst happens.

I wish I could afford to send you more money, but the medical bills have destroyed the finances of our entire family. Your wonderful cooler was the only exception to our very tight budget plansk

      Hopefully and respectfully,

      Dwight Oglesby - worried father.

I refuse to give that jackal another penny. I don't expect to actually see a coolest cooler in my lifetime. This guy is a huge fraud and now he was able to coax extra money from the backers.

Nothing about this campaign has been fair; why start now?

    13. Camille Gill 3 days ago

When you guys make extra capital and you are able to start sending rewards, please go in the order of backer number. I know many people that backed long after I did, thousands later in fact, that received their color and I still haven't. I think it's only fair.

      Hello Ryan,
On another note, I did receive my Coolest Cooler and it's awesome! Took it to the first (of many)Jimmy Buffett tailgates, and was overwhelming success!!
However. when in my travels( flyin, and check baggage), I use the box it was shipped in, which was great to protect the Coolest, but very cumbersome. We need a travel bag that will secure the Coolest for air travel and then easily removed and stowed upon arrival.
      Any ideas??
      Thanks
      Craig

Patiently waiting for Ryan to grow a spine and publicly state what he is doing for international backers that have all been put to the back of the line. He is just a coward that dare not admit he has taken all the international backers money and used it subsidizing deliveries to US customers.

Hey Ryan, please, I beg you, consider going to Shark Tank and getting the sharks to help pitch in the necessary $$ to finish delivering on your promises. Unlike those 10k backers who always have disposable income, mine is completely seasonal and at this time I could not afford to Pony up the extra $$ you guys are asking for... Why punish backers like myself? Please just visit shark tank, I'm sure one if the sharks world be willing to help you get more units sold as well.

Mine still leaks. Still waiting for a response about how that will be addressed.

    21. Chris 3 days ago

Profit does not equal revenue. It is very easy to say all profit will go toward shipping backer units. Profit is whats left after Ryan and everyone else at coolest get their money. If coolest retail sales generate $1m and ryan pays himself $950k, then there is $50k "profit" left toward backers units.

This guy is a joke. If he truly believed in the project he would be putting backers before himself, he would get himself into debt to push this forward, but my guess is he wont. He will pay himself from the money generated and to hell with any prioritisation of units for backers.

He has all but STOLEN money from international backers, using the extra $100 they paid toward shipping cheaper units inside the US. Then has the audacity to push international backers into the last batches of retail units.

I hope his boys grow up to realise just what a con artist and failure their father is. An absolute joke and fraud.

      Latest from these clowns.

"As I mentioned in the previous update, we’ll begin retail sales in order to raise additional capital needed to fulfill all Rewards. Please remember that ALL, yes 100%, of any profit generated by retail sales are being used to make and ship backer units. Every sale we make allows us to fulfill more backer units."

YOU HAVE ALREADY BEEN PAID INCLUDING SHIPPING BY YOUR BACKERS.

In for a penny/in for a pound. I paid the $97 out of sheer curiosity (as I have that kind of disposable income to see a dream become a reality). Have you made missteps, sure. Keep trying to get it right and then make it right!

      Attempt 1: over-promise & under-delivered
      Attempt 2: under-promise & over-deliver
      Attempt 3: Just deliver

So figure out how to get on a pathway to under-promise & over-deliver- tossing in "I'm sorry" anything- at a cost loss will help immensely. Make people understand that KS is not a store, but an investment opportunity. Your PR was great, but maybe too good, hence the broader feasibility issues.

That said, Ryan & Susan, you got this. Some of us keyboard warriors are still supporting you, so GET IT RIGHT. Hope to see this project come full circle and become a complete success regardless of media or backers of an idea.

I have been extremely patient up to this point, fully understanding that an upstart product comes with many complications, setbacks and hang ups that are impossible to predict. However, my patience has reached its limit. I am not bad mouthing or trying to harm the effort; but, there are only so many postponement emails one can receive before finally feeling deceived, cheated, and generally fed up. You had a great concept. You sold it very well. But, when the time has come to deliver, you have fallen disappointingly short. I fully expect to receive my product. I have no intention of paying another dime. Unfortunately, at this rate, I may be too old to use the cooler by the time it is delivered. Whatever lessons you have learned (Coolest) from your mistakes, know that they have been on the backs of your supporters.

      Respectfully,

      Thoroughly Disappointed

Don't be lazy. If you haven't tried to get money back from your credit card company, try it. My card company reimbursed me the charge back even after all this time. Because Ryan kept pushing the delivery date back that extended the time for filing a dispute.

Maybe your card company/bank won't be as accommodating. But, it doesn't hurt to try.

I'm glad to be done with these fools.

      Not so Coolest
Let me run the numbers. $13,285,226 for 62,642 backers. If he only shipped out 1/3 of the coolers that comes out to 20,880 backers received they're cooler at a cost of $636 for each cooler. Now that leaves 41,760 coolers to make. Where is the man going to get another $26,570,452 to complete the pledges? The numbers just don't work. I ordered two coolers I don't ever expect to receive them. Of all the projects I've backed this one has left a bad taste in my mouth.

I saw someone mention they had a number. How do you know what number you are? Anbyone out there know?
Also, once the back order ones start going out, will it be to the first backers first?
I did get an email but can't afford to pay any more so I'm having to wait, but I would like some general info on it. Would have been fun to have it for Cinco de Mayo !

I am beginning to think , that it is time for a Class action Lawsuit ! This is total bullshit , we funded this project in good faith , and now people are getting the product we paid for First! Because they are willing to buy it retail! Anyone who funded this project and is a Lawyer, start the process, I am in!

      HI,
I received my Coolest a month ago... It really is amazing, Its a very well built device and I am damn happy to own it, I was an early backer, and I do have mine before many... I know how you must feel... I can tell you this much, when you do finally get yours... you will be amazed... no corners cut on this thing, I have beaten up the blender running the heck out of it all day, and only going through one battery (although I have a spare) the blender kicks butt as well as the speaker... I know you all know this, and I don't even know why Im putting this out there... but I hope the wait goes fast for all of you....

Read Billy Grayson's comment and wanted to add that I also have never commented and I'm glad to have been a part of the Coolest. I think perhaps the noise of a vocal minority has drowned out the reason a place like kickstarter exists - aggregating micro-investments to give people the funding to build a business. Good luck and I look forward to your future updates.
