If that was the case, there would be a lot more effort to eliminate the need for abortions, not the access to them. Birth control would be free and readily available over the counter (like aspirin), sex education would be either mandatory (I mean, if we are telling women what to do anyway...) or at least much more available.

Pretty sure there is a lot of room to make it more available, though. Seems like the long hanging fruit to reduce the number of unwanted pregnancies.

Well, 1) you wouldn't have to raise the child if you didn't want to (there was actually a thread a while back about a guy who was the result of rape, and his mother kept him), and 2) ok fine, let abortions be performed if the woman is raped (as in files a rape report with the police). Many states had already passed laws allowing this, and abortion if the pregnancy risked the life of the mother, when Rvs.W was passed.

And once upon a time it was THE diet for celebrities and therefore thousands of women in their pursuit of an effortlessly thin body. Just imagine that, part of your diet routine is expulsion of the tapeworm when it's getting too big followed by ingestion of another. I shudder.
