Cub Scouts are from 8 years to 11 years. The Tigers Cub Pack meet on a Monday night from 6.45pm to 8.15pm and the Lions Cub Pack meet on a Wednesday night, also from 6.45pm to 8.15pm. Both Packs take part in lots of different activities including cooking, making things, games evenings and in the summer, sailing, canoeing, fire lighting and camping. They also join in District events such as swimming galas, handcraft competitions, sports days and badge days as well as the football league, which runs on Saturday mornings from September to March.

Scouts range from 11 years to 14 years. Elite Troop meet on Tuesday evenings from 7.15pm to 9.15pm and Kilimanjaro Troop meet on Thursday evenings from 7.00pm to 9.00pm. The Scouts enjoy hiking, climbing, camping as well as map and compass work, talks and personal challenges. They take part in District competitions such as cooking, night hikes and 6 a side football.

From the age of 14, Scouts can move onto Explorers. There are 4 Explorer Units in the District to choose from.

The Group Executive is a committee of parents that support the sections by holding social and fundraising events during the year. Every section provides a parent representative. We always welcome new input from parents and look forward to meeting you.
