Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba has revealed his admiration for former Manchester United teammate Paul Scholes, and compares English and Italian football.
The France international has admitted his admiration for Paul Scholes ability, and believes there is a greater focus on tactics in Serie A than in the Premier League.
Pogba joined The Red Devils at the age of 16, and says he was most impressed with the right foot of Scholes, which he describes as "perfectly tuned".
"Paul Scholes. ‘Scholsey’. His right foot. It was perfectly tuned. He could shoot ten times, and the ball would end up in the same spot ten times,” Pogba told So Foot.
Along with the England international's capabilities, the 23-year-old attacker believes the focus in English football is only to score goals, while they focus very little on tactics.
“They shoot a lot, they always tell you to shoot [in England]. You’re within range, you shoot. They want to score goals over there, that’s how it is," he added
"It’s not like Italy where the only important thing is tactics, because a team that is very tactically aware is very hard to beat: Atletico Madrid, Leicester City.
“Claudio Ranieri brought his touch, I noticed it the first time I saw Leicester. In Italy, you eat tactics, you sleep tactics. In England, they want to score goals.
"In Italy, they don’t want to concede them. That’s how it is.”
