What an atrocious game. No idea who to pick on more. Our forward players who aren't doing much of anything offensive? Rojo who's horrendous? Memphis? Dire, dire stuff today. Not too mention non of our subs seem to be good enough to change this game.

That's because he doesn't have to go forward. His delivery and pace isn't good enough to be a true overlapping fullback. He can play there if his primary role is defensive, but we really rely on fullbacks in the attack.

It's time to take some actual action, Louis. I'd either swap Mata and Lingard or get Juan off and put Januzaj on. Mata and Memphis both want to come inside and it's so easy to defend. Januzaj would, at least, have a go at the yellow wall in front of him. I've no idea if it would work but it's got to be better than doing nothing.

Pretty much shit football from us yet again against a low team, just like we were the first time against them too and lost. But watch the apologists come up with bullshit injury excuses or, we aren't that bad, let's compare each game with the strokes of the sun or so.

The point is we are shit against defensive teams after 2 fucking seasons. We were so poor we struggled against Midjtylland in the first leg after they haven't played for weeks too... That's how poor we can be and really are at teams that don't attack and leave space. Almost every damn time.

Our midfield is dire.

Herrera is invisible. Mata can't pass today. Lingard can't pass today. Carrick can pass, but seems to have lost any sense of attacking intent. Memphis has forgotten how to dribble.

This is easily our most creative possible midfield. This is shocking.

  • We have our ineffective trio of Carrick, Lingard and Herrera in the middle of the park.

  • Speaking of Herrera, what the fuck has happened to him since his injury.

  • Depay is just atrocious.

  • The few moments we've had of CBJ, he looked more like his appearance away to Bournemouth than his performances prior to his injury.

  • I woke up at 4:45 am to watch this garbage.

On the plus side, our corners look much better now that Blind isn't smashing them into the first man.

All we do is hoof it to Rooney and hope he can get the ball off of 3 Norwich players because Mata and Lingard are walking around back in our own half not having a fucking clue what to do. Then we give it to Memphis who just runs into somebody.

Our entire attacking set of "tactics" are a complete fucking joke. This is what we pay these coaches for, abysmal.
