Trump-hurt isn't going to work to be honest.

In all honesty all candidates have toxic online bases. The only difference is Hillary fans don't really exist online which is why her superpac wants to correct the record. The hardcore Hillary fans online I've met seem to be disconnected with reality and unable to accept that people can dislike a warmongering, somewhat racist globalist like her without falling for the vast right wing conspiracy. The funny thing is that term was orignally used to deflect Lewinsky allegations as untrue. We all know what happened there. The conspiracy turned out to be Clintonian and not right wing.

Personally I feel Bernie fans were the most level headed, not that they weren't moronic and conspiratal or even not racist. But because they raised a lot of money and managed to make a lot of people aware of Bernie's ideas. If r/s4p didn't exist Bernie would have done far worse. If r/The_Donald didn't exist we'd just have less memes. If r/Hillaryclinton didn't exist there would be no difference.

At the end of the day online trolls whatever their candidate aren't a very big effect on who is the next president.

It's so beautiful how you didn't address any points I made and decided to dig through my comments (ignoring those that don't fit your narrative for being anti Trump or against the world view you're trying to paint me as) to find a clearly not serious joke I made. Congrats!

Either way I think Trump at the very least is an islamaphobe him being that doesn't, believe it or not absolve Hillary of her misactions. Im not sure if you're aware but more than one person can be racist at a time.

My thoughts on Trump? I find Trump interesting because he breaks so many predicted election tropes and I appreciate that he could call out cockroaches like Jeb Bush and Ted Cruz to their face, but he isn't the same worldview as me. Not even close.

But feel free to worship at Hillary's alter pretending she's perfect long into her administrations inevitable bad actions.

If you're a communist you should probably agree with me to some degree about the US globalist, expansionist agenda that has occured over the past half century or so. The idea of overthrowing governments (mostly of those your worldview) to expand it's interests. I think it's very bad especially in a post cold war era without the Soviets to counterbalance it but Hillary seems enamoured of it and unable to see the folly of it and to a far greater degree than her party and arguably most republicans.

Instead of considering that you decided to make a circlejerky comment and dig for any comment (ignoring others) that you could use to malign me. Maybe you aren't a Clinton fan but you certainly haven't helped you case.

I'd suggest a book you can buy called Alter Egos it compares and contrasts the philosophies of Obama and Clinton on this matter. It's a good read and may lead to more insightful comments online from you.

And the Soviets fell into the imperialist trap anyways, their occupations of Eastern Europe post-WWII as well as their crushing of leftist rebellions in numerous Bloc countries made them functionally the same as the US in that regard.

The record says otherwise. Trump's model is based on pre wwii american sentiment. Hyper nationalist - semi isolationism. He's xenophobic, islamaphobic and many other negative qualities but I don't believe he's in favour of baseless overthrowing of governments. Only possible exception is ISIS which almost every candidate/politician in the world is against. He has repeatedly said things along the lines of "Gaddafi/Saddam/Assad/X was a bad guy but he kept order and his absense created a vacuum for terrorism". I agree with this because I believe dictators are more malleable to non military pressure to improve their records. He wants to pull out the expansionalist NATO bases and have countries focus their own military rather than america forcing it on theirs.

Hillary on the other hand was for actions in Iraq, Libya, Honduras, and is still hell bent on Syria even to the point of being willing to shoot down Russian airplanes. Being a huge hawk is he modus operandi. Her comments and actions about/towards the russian people have left many of them viewing her the way Mexicans view Trump.

The Soviet Union is no more. I also have a tidbit for you. Ho Chi Minh the father of modern Vietnam had an enamoration with the American Founding Fathers and reached out to them for help but they refused. Thousands of vietnamese, cambodians, laotions, and Americans died simply because of communist fears. In Vietnam which America has somewhat good relations with now they say "we hated America for 20 years but China for 200". It could have easily been avoided with a different mindset. I believe Clinton is closer to the mindset that put america in that mess.

I don't think we could have a substantial discussion on this. I don't believe that's realistic or feasible even in the next several centuries and especially under a communist system. There is no benefit of discussing it.

I dont endorse Trump at all but I do appreciate that we can have our views open without maligning eachother now. I carry a dislike for both candidates for seperate reasons (I also think Bernie is bunk). I hope you remember our convo in the future.

His political maturation, in France, led to him becoming a communist. Communists hate the American Revolution, both sides of that conflict, and that's mostly because it was a bunch of rich white men trying to give themselves an even higher standing in society versus a bunch of rich white men trying to maintain an empire.

That's fair and I respect that. You made that point without trying to misrepresent what I'm saying unlike that other guy.

All I said in my OP was that all hardcore online supporters are all pretty insane and fervent and unreasonable in their support. Which I believe to be fair. Everyone Hillary, Trump, Cruz, Sanders, everyone who runs for the power of the president needs to be criticized as much and as often as possible because that position of influence is extremely dangerous in the wrong hands. We can rally against Trump but we don't need to whitewash the horrid actions of the Clintons (or any other candidate that has commited them).

I don't think engaging with trolls is effective and I don't think reddit is important enough to change the election other than in coordinated efforts to donate and phonebank like s4p did. But I'd like to see things more insightful than "derp drumpf" vs "derp cuck".

In Russia they have a saying " doveryai no proveryai" aka "trust but verify". You can hope for the best in your candidate of choice but you should verify and be critical of potential threats and concerns that arise.

You should check out r/PoliticalDiscussion and r/HillaryClinton. Both subs are filled with level-headed supporters and although there is some trolling, there's nothing compared to the levels of the Drumpf or Sanders sub. So I disagree with your point. The Drumpf and Sanders sub has a lot of overlap in that their supporters are mostly young white males (Sanders won the vast majority of the youth vote and performed terribly with minorities like Latinos and black people; I hope you already know how awful Drumpf's numbers are with non-whites and women. Although his main voter block is middle-aged white men, the main demographic of reddit is 18-24 yo white males, meaning his supporters on reddit will be mostly young whites, which is the same demographic Sanders did well with).

Whites and white males especially are feeling disenfranchised by politicians as some focus is actually being put on the rights minorities and women lack and how important it is for future policies to rectify that; it's basically white people losing their long-held importance in the US as their numbers simultaneously shrink (Reagan won 56% of the white vote his first term in a landslide election while Romney won 59%. White people don't have nearly the same political power they once did). This scramble to assert white dominance is called an extinction burst and you should look one comment down in my posting history to see a detailed response about that.

You should also look up some articles concerning BernieBros, as that's a very real trend, evidenced by the recent top posts in the Sanders sub to try and court Sanders voters. With these white people, Sanders and Drumpf are both promising them the same thing: an end to policies that have attempted to close the gap in power between minorities and white people and a return to the previous white dominance. Except that Sanders doesn't stand for that. They see his anti-establishment message and assume it's the same as Drumpf's anti-establishment message. Sanders wishes to further break down the current establishment of white dominance. Drumpf seeks to curtail the rising establishment of minority empowerment. But because both candidates are charismatic and appear as outsiders, they appeal to young impressionable voters with little understanding of gov't policy. These young voters then project their own ideals onto these candidates and deify both as saviors.
