Büttner in LVG's system (self.reddevils)

How do you guys think Büttner would have faired under LVG? I remember LVG using wing backs at the begginning and I think Büttner would have done a great job. He would be a good squad player and I think he would have done a better job than Rojo as far as the role of a LB. He scores too!

He was an incredibly average player who LvG did not rate at all as the Dutch manager.

He was brought in for 1 reason and 1 reason only - to motivate Evra to pick up his form.

It worked really well, Evra was back to amazing just a few weeks later

It's SAF management 101. When a top player's getting complacent he brings in cheap competition that's full of energy. It always sparks up the player he's trying to motivate.

Iirc the very reason he left was due to LvG coming in

Fucking hell I had to google his name to make sure I wasn't thinking of the wrong player. He played against Bayern during the Moyes season and I remember he tried to clear the ball out anytime someone got near him. No composure whatsoever. Terrible player.
