I will never understand how you can be conservative and support emergency management, which strips power from democratically elected officials. We got rid of the emergency manager law here in Michigan and Snyder rammed it back in and attached it to a spending bill so that it could no longer be challenged by referendum. Why do we say that we should let the voters decide on things like marriage but something like this is just ok for a governor to do? As far as what actually happened in Flint, there are plenty of people to point fingers at. Lots of democrats, but a lot of state-level republicans and people who were given power by the republicans. Snyder is toxic here and a lot of people on both sides want him gone.
