Really, everyone loves them? Do you just live somewhere with no black people? The consensus in NY and NJ seems to be that dreadlocks on white people are always tacky. It implies you are either ignorant about the perception of appropriation or simply don't care.

Well, I've never had anyone say anything negative to me about them. Quite the opposite. And it comes from people of all colors and cultures. The only negativity I've encountered is this thread. Sooooo yeah.

quick question: do you think it's tacky when people with curly hair straighten it?

because a whole lot of black people seem to be appropriating asian/caucasian/whatever culture.

also what are your feelings on non-americans wearing blue jeans? that's cultural appropriation as well?
