Sad to hear this but it was coming.

Thanks for running a principled, pragmatic, and positive campaign that I for the most part believed would yield an effective presidency, Governor Kasich.

I am proud to have voted for and campaigned for Governor Kasich and if he is to run again for elected office I will recommend him once again. It is true I have my disagreements with the man in regards to certain social issues, but he was still far and away the best person for the job this season.

I don't believe a Trump nomination will lead to a GOP victory in November, and my personal disagreements with the rhetoric coming from Trump and his supporters are stark.

Time to start learning from our mistakes.

Truly, thank you Mr Kasich.

I'll believe it when I see it, and I'll cry when I see it.

And people thought a contested convention would ruin the republicans.

I'll say this.

I was done with the Republican party. Like completely done. I would have voted for Rand Paul this election, but I was otherwise out the door.

John Kasich brought me back in. Jon Kasich actually got me interested in the political process. I was shocked that someone could talk substance and not pander. Could outline practical solutions that were workable and have the record to back it up. Could actually REFORM and still get work done all while not being owned by special interests.

Even if he never got the traction he should have. I'm glad there are still people like him. If he won't be president, it's not the end. I plan to stay involved and advocate for the America he said was possible.

Would have liked to see the party rally around Kasich just to see if it picked up any traction. Sad sad day.

Long time Sanders guy, but decided to stop in. Disheartening to see him go, he really seemed like a "real" candidate versus who he was up against. Did not agree with a portion of his platform/ideas, but nonetheless. Nice guy, too.

Boy, November is going to be something isn't it.

edit: should note, this drop-out seems to still be unofficial, though two sources report he is, in-fact, calling it quits. If this is official later today... fuck.

I never thought I would say this... but I'm voting for Hillary

I'm leaning that way too...holy shit wake me up from this nightmare.

I can very much understand your frustration, and I can understand how people can hate Trump. But I don't see what Hillary got to offer more so than Trump?

I don't say this in a demeaning way, legitimate question.

Because she'll maintain the status quo. The true lasting impact of a president is not so much domestic, it's foreign policy. The last thing I'm going to do is cast my vote for some dipshit bully worth ZERO foreign policy or military experience. Hillary will fuck up, but I doubt it will be a cataclysmic fuck up.

Hillary is only the lesser of two evils. There is no good argument FOR Hillary, just so many more good ones AGAINST Trump.

I understand how you view it. I don't necessarily like Trump's persona or how he talks, very polarizing candidate. However I do believe he is solid on immigration (there is huge problems that need to be adressed, and just look at how europe is doing!) and for the fact that I absolutely despise Hillary.

I'm torn. Vote for someone who has the best shot at beating Trump, or a third party candidate who has no realistic shot at winning, but better represents my views.

Casting a vote for her is casting a vote against Trump, 3rd party throws the vote away... the thing stopping me from going with 3rd party option is this: NO ONE thought he would make it this far, so rather than chance it, I'm casting a vote for the candidate that can beat him

Same. Hopefully I can help her steal Arizona from the Donald.

Well I know who I'm voting for in November now.
