Seriously, I am skeptical because I don't see any resemblance at all between Craig and Satoshi -- in writing, reasoning, programming, and software design skills.

I have no way of telling whether Satoshi was a con artist or fraudster. Actually I have always rooted for him to be an embarrassing person, such as a Russian programmer with a day job at the mafia, or a member of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, or...

Well, I think Satoshi is more than one person. In this instance I'd be inclined to say there's some weight behind the hypothesis that Satoshi was Wright's buddy Dave who is now deceased. Wright will have access to all of Dave's keys and the necessary digital proof shortly once the tax evasion case and issues around the trust are addressed legally. This will give Wright the ability to 'prove' he was at least tangentially involved with the creation of bitcoin. The fact Gavin thinks this is him, and Gavin had multiple episodes of contact with the entity or entities known as Satoshi. It wouldn't be outside the realm of possibilities that Wright knew of the content of these messages if he worked closely with the now deceased real Satoshi.

By the metric used to say Wright was employed by the NSA, I was also employed by the NSA. (I wasn't, neither was he.)

But it also shows that he wasn't as vain as it seems

I'm perfectly willing to accept Rev. Dr. Prof. Wright as the creator of bitcons, but I'm curious - Which part of Wright's life and deed makes it even remotely likely that he isn't a self-important, limelight-happy braggart?
