I have said all along... I fight like hell in the primaries for my candidate of choice, and then I support the Republican nominee. It looks like this year that's going to be Donald Trump. He will get my vote in the general.

If I were to change my flair, it would be to #NeverHillary, but I've had 'vincit omnia veritas' for so long I don't want to change it.

I just found out yesterday I got a new full-time job. My first since my semi-retirement last October. So, I am going to be on Reddit a lot less during the day-time hours.

I probably need to chill out for a while anyway... I've been hard at it for too long.

Trump won't be as bad as Hillary, that's for sure. I don't support Trump, and will not as long as he remains inconsistent, but he's miles better than Hillary.

That said, I'm still not sure how the single most unpopular candidate in history will beat the second most unpopular candidate in history unless something big happens before the general. What's our winning strategy?

Trump is consistent with his policies.

And our winning strategy is...exposing Hillary for what she is. We are already beating her in the most recent poll, and I think the numbers will continue to go up as conservatives unite behind Trump.

No doubt. Donald will say things to her that no other politician would dare out of fear of political retribution. He can just walk away and retire in the end if she wins.

You're a good man, Clatsop. I didn't support either Cruz or Trump, but like you I sure as hell won't support Hillary. So, we do what we must for now and try again next go round. I still have high hopes for Rubio one day. Maybe he'll come back more polished in the future.

I believe you deserve a lot of respect for how hard you fought. I may support Trump but believe this kind of intense battle is respectable, not to be derided. I know many viscerally hate Trump but I look at it in 2 ways: one, he will bring his venom against Hillary, a candidate who truly deserves it and two, if his negativity hurts the Republican party, it most likely means Hillary had to go deep negative and it will hurt the Democratic party as well.

Let's all keep in mind Hillary's negatives are mid 50s, with Trump trending to the low 60s. It won't take much to get her at the same point.

Im going to be a dad in a few days, so I too will be taking time out, but unlike you, I'm very much NeverTrump, because life is to short to support people I despise, I'm sure many of you Trump supporters would say the same if Ted had won.

Exactly. Apparently I'm a Hillary supporter for not wanting to vote against conservatism, yet Trump said he would run as an Independent if he didn't get the nomination, giving the presidency to Hillary anyway. If Trump and his supporters wouldn't be willing to unite, why should I?

I personally can't wait for everyone to put this presidential election behind us and return to some sense of normalcy around here. This election cycle has been far too divisive. For as much as I loathed Cruz, I am at the very least thankful that he dropped out instead of dragging this out to the convention. The sooner we can move past the primaries and begin uniting, the better.

Trump bests hillary on immigration alone. That, in of itself, is reason enough. If hillary rams millions more Latin America socialists down our throats it's game over.
