TL;DR: Well-known player who had been banned multiple times before gets unbanned, people who hadn't gotten unbanned even after months of trying are salty, accusations that the player paid to be unbanned, popcorn everywhere.
Background
This drama centers around two people, Spare and shavitush. Spare is a player who is currently top 50; he has been unbanned three times, which has gotten on some people's nerves. Shavitush is a player who has also been banned; he has been outspoken about believing that Spare being unbanned was not deserved, due to him being unbanned and then cheating again.
Drama
The drama began 4 days ago, when a new account named byeshavitush posted this in osureport, the subreddit for osu! cheating accusations. osu! has a very strict policy against multiaccounting in-game, and the argument that byeshavitush is saying is that Moki and shavitush both use the same desk, monitor, and keyboard, and live in the same area, therefore they must be the same person.
Shavitush defends himself, and the day after posts this, calling out Spare for using other accounts while banned. A little bit of drama happens when Spare himself shows up in the comment section. Also of note is allegations saying that Spare(and possibly other people) paid to be unbanned.
The day after that, someone posts in the main subreddit, osugame, with the title Is it true that you can pay to get unbanned? Much of the meat of this argument is in here, including a supposed screenshot that's proof that Spare paid to be unbanned. Ephemeralis, an osu! staff member in-game, shows up, attempting to defuse the situation and is swamped in downvotes after giving non-satisfactory answers to uestions about Spare.
