What ‘rights’ really are

The term "rights" is cited often in political discussions. Let's consider the different kinds of rights. The standard historical meaning of rights is something that exists among people and imposes no obligation on anyone else except noninterference. These are natural rights. Contrived or supposed rights do impose obligations on others and are better classified as privileges.
