Tl;dr
I have been reading some journal articles about the Dark Triad recently, and have come to the conclusion that every single person that you know that extrudes success is essentially the epitome of a Dark Triad. I'm going to share my insights on how you can do the same.
Body
I want you to think of all the people that you listen to, or have bought a product from on the internet.
How do they do it?
They project a perfectly successful image to the world.
That is the pre-requisite. It's the projection of that perfect image.
If they want to sell fitness products (i.e. protein shakes and meal programs), then they project a fitness related image to the world. It’s like, they have to be the epitome of their product.
If they want to sell you dating products, they have to produce that bad-boy, player like attitude. Regardless of whether they are getting laid or not, as long as they can manipulate you into believing exactly what they want you to believe, you will purchase.
If they want you to listen to their RP posts - they have to project that RP image.
Essentially, this boils down to Machiavellianism.
After reading The Illimitable Man's posts, I am beginning to understand the importance of projecting that perfectly successful image to the world. It doesn't matter what goes on behind closed doors - it matters what the world sees.
Combine the knowledge of using Machiavellianism with the 48 laws of power, in particular law number 6 - court attention at all costs, you almost have a formula for success on the internet.
If you want to succeed on the internet, start faking it. Fake it until you make it. Or, like the popular TED talk says, fake it until you become it.
I'm a firm believer that a shit load of successful people started off feeling inadequate - and just adopted a 100% unshakeable belief in themselves and their abilities.
Then, they started projecting that image to the world.
If you want to be a self-made millionaire, guess what? You're going to have to start acting like one - and be the type of person that others would WANT to give their money too.
Conclusion
Read Illimitable Man's posts on Machiavellianism and check out Robert Greene's 48 Laws of Power. Also, check out Brian Tracy. Not his content (although I do endorse it), but his image.
