平昌オリンピック組織委会長が辞任　迫る大会に懸念の声も

2018年の平昌冬季オリンピック・パラリンピックの大会組織委員会は5月3日、趙亮鎬会長が辞意を表明したと発表した。自身が会長を務める財閥「韓進グループ」傘下で、経営難に陥っている韓進海運の立て直しに当たる。時事ドットコムなどが伝えた。後任は未定という。

趙氏は組織委を通じ、「新会長の下で準備にまい進してほしい。五輪の成功に向けた支援を惜しまない」と声明を出した。趙氏は１４年７月に、金振※氏（※先を２つ横並び）会長の辞任を受けて就任した。

趙氏の辞任について、韓国紙・中央日報が「平昌オリンピックの成功的な開催のために努力してきた趙会長が退くことによって、残り2年を切った平昌冬季五輪の準備に大きな支障が出ないか懸念されている」と報じるなど、韓国メディアは心配する声を伝えている。

韓国紙・朝鮮日報などによると、グループ傘下の大韓航空の副社長（当時）で長女の趙顕娥（チョ・ヒョンア）氏が2014年12月、ニューヨークの空港でナッツの出し方に激怒し、離陸直前の自社機を引き返させた「ナッツリターン事件」を起こしたため、趙氏も非難を浴びた。自身も2016年、ネット上に同社の操縦士を軽視するような書き込みをして物議を醸した。また、海運業界の低迷が韓進海運の経営に影響したという。
