[Addressing comments made on the linked site page] I really like this new video player. This was the best running video I have watched on Fullmatchesandshows in quite some time, with in obtrusive 15 second adverts. So it is working great for some people.

I really don't know what to do because some people say new player gives them problems while others say previous one was working fine.

And I'm not even sure that the problems they have are having are because the new player. Playwire makes me sick :/

I'm definitely having issues with it. There's a tendency for the video to start playing but then eventually just randomly stop playing and turn into a black screen. Happens almost every time for me.

/u/Swill- and also /u/d4sf3rg if I switch for like 1 hour could you guys do a test and let me know if switching to old player fixes these issues?

I guess what I am asking is, are you around now to test this because a lot of other people are saying that the new player is working great for them and I don't want to keep the old one for too long without any confirmation.

If you are responsive we can do it right now and I'd be very thankful.

By the way, that video black screen/stopping problem is happening only in Firefox, in Chrome it works without a problem.

I ended up falling asleep and taking a nap, so I apologize for not responding.

Don't worry about it bud. I would never ask you to change the player just for me or a few people who are having issues. I'll keep trying to figure something out and I'll get something to stick eventually.

No need to apologize for anything.

I actually changed the player myself and I still got that black screen so apparently it has nothing to do with that. It has to do with the way they are sharing the videos in chunks of .ts files now so it must be something to do with that.

Will report this tomorrow, but I would like to mention once again that this bug is only on Firefox, on Chrome you can play the videos without problem.

Well, if it matters at all, after I woke up, I was able to go in and watch the Manchester United vs. Leicester City highlights without a hitch. So, if you changed anything, it seemed to work!

It's tough to get it right for everyone. Using the site through Chrome on my Macbook the new player is a huge improvement over the old one.

Before this week I could play it on my phone and chromecast it to my TV but I can't seem to do that anymore :( and the new player doesn't seem to work well on my mobile
