Still glad they didn't win it at Old Trafford. Don't get me wrong I'm happy for them, I'm just glad it didn't happen on our turf.

Other talking points: I'm known for a bit of Fellaini bias on here but damn Huth is getting off lightly in the media for his part in those handbags in the box. Top 4 I feel is beyond our reach, maybe it's what a new boss needs next season to focus our efforts on the league - I don't know.

I've watched a lot of Leicester matches and that was honestly the best performance Iv'e seen against them in 2016.

The were on the backfoot and struggling most of the match.

They never really hard the momentum. The match went flat int he 2nd half but if you watch them regularly you have to realise how many periods of the match every single team spends just hanging on for dear life against them.

I was really impressed by the performance by us.

We were one Rojo mistake away from a well deserved win.

We need better finishers but overall good game.

Just very disappointing result in the context of the season and our race to the top 4.

Definitely the hardest Ranieri's had to work for a result, he acknowledged as much in the post match.

I can't say Ulloa was bad but you could tell how much they were missing Vardy. Vardy's pace off Schmeichel's long balls and his hold up play are essential to their game plan.

Wouldn't have made a difference in the 1st half but I can see him vs a tired Blind in the 80th minute being a menace and a potential goal.

There's actually few games this season where we haven't been the better side for majority of the game. The problem we've had is taking advantage of that dominance i.e. lack of quality in the side. It goes without saying but with a world class forward like Griezmann or Ibra in our current system, I'd say we'd be walking the league easily. People forget, our best player is a 20yr old in his first season in a foreign league, we're a distinctly average side. And on top of that, for the first half of this season Rooney, our supposed best player, was beyond terrible.

What we've seen with the injection of pace and youth into the system (vs City away, Arsenal at home, Everton at Wembley and even Leicester at home) is only a glimpse of what could have been. Just imagine Griezmann instead of Lingard down the right with Ibra up top instead of Rashford. I know those players would improve any team but I think with our system in particular, we'd be completely unplayable.

I can definitely see that getting us atleast another 5 or 6 wins. Add in a world class CB to partner Smalling and I don't think there's any question we win the league.

Though next season, I don't think that'll be enough. I can't see City and Chelsea both bottling as hard as they have this year. I'd be very surprised.

Regarding top 4 this was 1 point in one of our hardest matches left. To top this off we gained points on city. This was potentially a better result then us and city both winning.

One point gained on City but two lost on Arsenal.

Agreed. That's why it was potentially a good result. City seem more likely to drop so Aresnal can win out for all I care if it means city dropping a few more points.

Personally I felt Arsenal were more likely to drop than City.

I've watched it a handful of times, and I just don't know how you call that foul and not give a penalty. It's either not a foul, or it's a penalty. Memphis was well inside the box.

I feel the ref took the easy way out there. He couldn't handle the pressure of giving a penalty at that stage so have a second yellow instead in an attempt to even it out, but really it should have been a pen.

Talking mainly about the first half here, played some of our best, most intense football in a while, in a 4-3-3 with only Carrick really holding, and two others playing a more box-to-box role, covering a lot of ground. It worked well last year with Carrick, Fellaini and Herrera, and again on Sunday with Rooney. Makes me wonder why we stuck with 2 holding midfielders for most of the season, slowed the play down far too much, and didn't really have enough benefits defensively to be worth it.

Great seeing Valencia at RB again, his workrate and ability to constantly get up and down the line adds something we've been missing.

Wasn't too impressed with the subs, Herrera and Mata didn't have as much of an impact as you'd expect them to.

why we stuck with 2 holding midfielders for most of the season

You need a front 3 who can press hard, competent fullbacks who can cover a lot of ground and a fit Carrick.

Even last year the 433 only worked because we had Valencia. Martial/Rashford/Lingard are doing a great pressing too.

This was a crucial game and we tied. Luckily for us Man City had a worse week than us. Lets hope that City lose more points and that we go on a consistent winning run for the last few games (prays).

Top 4 is possible of course. It's just that we need to win all basically AND hope city drop points too. It's the former that I'm not confident of at all as has been this season as we can easily play badly anytime but win, or just turn to shit sometimes. We play well on occasion but never for an extended period and consistently to show that we can do it yet again.

Let's hope and see. At least there's something to play for still.

West Ham will be an extremely tough match but hoping for Arsenal to go and beat City in the Etihad is just asking for trouble with the way Arsenal have played lately. I really hope City beat Madrid on Wednesday as then at least they will be completely focused on the final and won't care about top 4.

Pretty decent first 15 minutes. Although we were pretty pants for 75 after that, standard this season.

pretty sure am in the minority here but i really don't care that much about top4,the only positive for me is not having to play in the godawful EL.

being out of it will neither make us run out of money nor will it stop us from getting good players,on the other hand focusing on the league(with a different manager) i can see us fighting for the title next season, after adding a few names to the squad of course

like i said i know this is an unpopular opinion but i really don't want this empty achievement of qualifying to a cup we have no chance of winning with this man
