Unfortunately this is not a joke. I wish it was. I am chuffed though that most of you find it funny.

Donating is not illegal in the USA, but selling is. I need a living donor, as my family and friends are not compatible.

I cannot give much away, but I am in my 30's, male, married with 2 kids I would love to watch grow up. Unfortunately with 2 bad kidneys, the probability of it happening is nil.

I am registered with the Organ Procurement and Transplantation Network (OPTN), which is the official waiting list in the States. But I am way down the list, which has an average waiting time of 4 to 6 years. I don't think I have a year left.

Desperate times indeed. So if anyone here between the ages of 18 and 40 would seriously consider being my friend and donor. You will have thirty thousand valuable reasons to.

This might seem unusual,  but it's not. I've got Ads on Craigslist, Facebook and several forums. Not just myself, a few others too. In most cases 1 kidney can do the work of 2, but before anything, one will go through rigorous testing to be sure they can donate safely. And would also receive post surgery care. After all we would be friends, and friends take care of each other.

I am pretty sure this is some murky water on the legal details. I would seriously warn users before "donating" a kidney to think about what they're doing.

This is like the guy who wanted to sell his dick/balls for bitcoin.  I laughed and then it became sad.  So, so much easier to just get a job, get paid in fiat, then go out and buy bitcoin.  You shouldn't sell genitalia--or kidneys for that matter. 

If I was going to donate a kidney, it would be to a relative and even that isn't a certainty.

Ohh.. donor.. then I think you need to go to the hospital for them to put it in to be an acceptable organ donor recipient for it not to be.

BUYING organs is illegal in most places for obvious reasons. Donating them is not. As far as I know it is legal to sell your body parts in Canada. They actually had to make a policy against this on eBay to  prevent it. A quick trip to Canukistan and you could sell your kidney and have it professionally done all within the law.

EDIT: Guess not. I think it is legal to sell things like fingers and toes though for some reason.

Yeah, selling genitalia is not profitable as it will make our health bad or even will take our life. But donating is different matter.
