That will never happen to me because Cat prefers to sleep on the floor (or other hard surfaces).

I even bought her a cushion, and he went "nah, that's not for me" and slept next to it instead of on it.

I have a debate, which is also my final, in my US history class about Reagan essentially. I'm not exactly a big fan of Reagan so I'm glad I got put on the anti-Reagan side. But I feel like I'm somewhat at a disadvantage because first Reagan has this massive positive legacy working for the pro-group, and second my teammates aren't exactly giving this their all. I have like 2 pages of rebuttals, the guy in charge of the intro has like 3 sentences. Plus the group I'm going up against are a bunch of old tea party conservatives that were alive during the Reagan era, so they kind of have a passion for this.

Maybe I'm just putting too much thought into it.

Just got back from a week long mapping field trip in Canada. Eight to Nine hours a day of slogging through dense woods to look at rocks. My legs are covered in Scabs from all the cuts. But God Damn do I love my major for giving me view like these

Also, I brought back several pounds of Uranium Ore. Does anyone know where to buy a centrifuge for unrelated reasons?

Started dating a Jewish girl recently. I've always been irked by anti-Semites, but becoming emotionally involved with a Jew has really changed my perspective. I've met very few Jews in my life and have never really gotten to know any on a personal level for this exact reason, so I've always seen anti-Semitism simply as a disgusting belief system held by some crazy idiots. Now that I've become emotionally involved with a Jew, however, I no longer simply view anti-Semites with contempt. I now find them utterly repulsive and infuriating. Now when I see groups like Stormfront online, I have to wonder, have these people ever even met a single Jew in their lives? This girl and her family are all such nice people, I just simply cannot fathom how someone could believe they are behind some vast, evil conspiracy. I just don't understand what the hell is wrong with some people.

Many racists are willing to admit that some of "those people" are decent, just that enough of them are evil and pernicious so that discrimination against them still ends up beneficial on average. In the immortal words of Donald J. Trump, "and some, I assume, are good people".

Does anyone know if Empire of the Deep by Ben Wilson is any good? I picked up a copy for £5 from a charity bookshop, and want to know if it's decent history.
