You need to know the shoes a man has walked in before you can understand him or judge him. Surely we can agree on that.

If you don't know that, you can't really proceed. I have read Before The Dawn by Gerry Adams and can give you an insight.

Imagine never relaxing in one place for long. You and your partner will spend most of your twenties and thirties hiding under beds, running out back doors, you'll never say "ah home sweet home" you'll be on the run. This is how he lived his life in Ballymurphy. He said it was home, but he was rarely there. Now I wouldn't be in the slighest republican, actually the opposite. (Mary Lou and Pierce Doherty make me want to physically get sick, just their dopey voices triggers me..I'll never be able to vote while those two look out of that party)

Gerry grew up on the run, always going from place to place. He lived in a period where even the most anti republicans like me, knew that civil liberties were being dissolved. It was soo bad republic of ireland considered bringing the army up there. It was horrendous. It was like watching a piece of floss going through estates, with one side the RUC and the other the british army, back and forth every night, street by street, for no reason. Then the next week and the week after. Then again. Then for no reason only its st patricks day "fuck you paddys..your fucking saint, get your whore wives out on the street" . A bomb goes off, states get targetted. They would drag people out day and night, no body had rights, body could turn for protection. This was the world he grew up in.

So the nigger word. What is your definition of it. I don't use it, I don't think he does. However in the case of Django Unchained, what was happening there was very like the world he grew up in. He was a slave to the british, a piece of meat to hunt and beat.

Lets just clear up the word "nigger". There is nothing a black person can say to a white person that will hurt them like nigger. Hey Cracker , that means whip noise and centuries of land ownership, oh god don't remind colonial americans of that.Their ancestors had slaves. The black people of america know what that word means, it brings back centuries of torture. if you are Irish, its like famine or potatoe, there's no way to respond back to that..."Oh you brits...you colonialised us for 800 years..and the famines...ya bastards...." You think the brits give a fuck, they love their colonial past, they pride themselves on at one time, never having the sun set on the british empire, you can't tell them make them feel like you can a mayo lad like me saying potato". You know how many people there is in mayo today, 110k, that's the same as tallagh. In 1845s, it was over 330k people, the famine and migration, ruined my country. You think I'm cool with famine jokes...no im not. If an american says famine and potatoe jokes to me...do you think I get upset, DO I FUCK, americans don't upset me with that. i can insult them with lots of stuff....why....and here is the WHOLE KEY TO MY POINT ....we don't have a history with america. Yeah they hated us for a period and thought we were thieves and gangsters, and they weren't half wrong. But I don't get offended...BUT if you have some english person (which has happened maybe five times in my life) look at me, with his rotten set of teeth and looks like something died in his mouth, says "hey paddy, you got any potatoes...im triggered...im mad as hell, but polite ireland is supposed to smile...well I won't any more. I might have in the past when cowards in the IRA were throwing bombs into theoir english pubs and blowing up innocent people, as opposed to the enemy, but not now, im not cool with it.

Now if Gerry says Nigger, do you think som american, and lets be clear because I have black friends, and quite a few. One is from Ghana, he doesn't give a fuck about the word. It means Nothing to him. My other friend Ive known for 14 years (yeah thats a proper friend) he is from Nigeria, it doesn't register. Now they can tell me they know american guys with black skin, they respond like Id like Irish people to respond to jokes about the famine, with a FUCK YOU MAN..they wont take that. That shit is not one for them. Now if a paddy like me says to an american, hey Nigger, if he knows Im Irish, he'll telll me to stop, but he won't take it like he would of an american....why....because it about who says it. It's about where it comes from. We didn't enslave him, we are not the ones boasting about our colonial past by calling him that.

Now...sorry for the long messge, but don't trigger me with telling me Im talking out my hole, I know the background of this word, this culture, this person, a lot more that you. Im not reading some bullshit of wiki, or adopting a view, I have lived in life, and I have been around different cultures. A man can say things once he has earned the stripes to say them, and Adams has earned the right....not you and not me.

Let me think about that...

How would you define an excuse from the related material. Part one with the link to the washington and how quick they were to report it. (think it was 45 minutes)

Part two where I mentioned the Commitments and the use of the Irish being the blacks of europe.

Part three where I said what the Indo will write tomorrow

I'm very very happy to respond, but please tell me what specific area. NOT being smart, everyone on planet earth feels "they are right" so I do entertain your point if you point me towards where I made the excuse for this.

If he wrote it in a film they'd give him an oscar..

I'd say someone in the indo is getting out of bed with a stiffy writing their piece for tomorrow "Adam uses N Word" "N*Word by Adams" ...
