Rooney : We deserved more than just a draw

After the clash vs Leicester City where the Reds drew 1-1 , the Captain Wayne Rooney admitted that he’s disappointed with the result as he thinks they could archive more than just a draw.
“We’re disappointed. I think we were the better team, we played with good tempo. After they scored we were a little bit off it, but we came out second half and I felt we dominated those 45 minutes.”
Manchester United found the net first with Anthony Martial at the 8th minute but the joy didn’t last much as Leicester City captain equalised with a header less than 10 minutes later. The Reds failed to punish Leicester on the second half despite the Foxes playing with 10 players on the last minutes.
Despite the draw and having a better game, Wayne Rooney admits that Manchester United must keep going to work for the top 4 , despite it will be very tough now.
“We’re disappointed we didn’t win the game, it’s a blow, but we have to keep going.” said Rooney, who also stated that he is happy with his conduct as a midfielder. -“I feel I’m playing OK in midfield and I’m enjoying it. It’s going to be tough to get in the top four now.”
After this draw, Manchester United lost ground to Arsenal and Manchester City. The Reds will travel to face Norwich City next week-end.
