This most certainly is frowned upon by the FEC and I'm not sure how well a candidate running for American politics wants to use a currency other than the American dollar.

It would better to cash out/sell your bitcon or whatever and then donate the USD amount through normal methods. Election law requires us to be transparent with the donations.

if the campaign can't accept change tip contributions do we want to encourage people who WANT to donate to send their money to a repository where the campaign can't get it?

Wouldn't it be better to NOT encourage this and have people fight to find out how they can legally donate?

If the money is never going to get to sanders in time for this campaign (that ends in a few months) why divert resources that he needs?
